"Aries eat slowly, you are going to choke" Cassie exclaimed.
She and Sophia were sitting across the table from me, watching me at the moment stuffing a large amount of the most healthy food I could find on the menu, burger. I know people classify it as unhealthy and junk, but to me it's not, if you can eat a salad, why can't you eat a burger, it has veggies in it, right?.
"Common, spare me the lectures, I had a long day at work so I deserve this amount of food" I said innocently while trying to chew and I honestly have no idea how that worked.
Cassie and Sophia burst out laughing their asses out. Cassie and Sophia are my best friend. Cassie was a white wolf, she was the eldest of the three of us, the fastest and my elder brothers mate, who happens to be the Alpha of Inara pack, which is my pack. Cassie is one of my mom's book class member's daughter, hence how we met and how she ended up being my brother's mate.
Sophia was a black wolf. She was the best climber, which I envied since I couldn't climb that well, surprising I know, I am the only daughter of the former alpha and the strongest female in the pack, I wasn't worried though, I still had three more years to learn until I'm Alpha. I was both excited and worried, mostly excited because, who doesn't want to be alpha and worried because I'm not so sure I would be about to carry on all the responsibilities and I don't want to let anyone down.
"What? "
"You look ridiculous "Sophie threw a napkin at me, which I sucessfully avoided and continued munching and moaning to the sweet flavory goodness, which was my burger.
"Well shouldn't you be heading home?" my red haired friend simply smirked at me
"Your brother would be worried sick".
"Don't play stupid with me Cassie" I said crossing my arms over my chest
"You just can't wait to see your mate can you" she rolled her eyes then narrowed her eyes at Sophia who seems to be in so much discomfort.
"You OK soph" Cassie asked.
"These heels are killing me" Sophia muttered.
She looked at her heels as she wiggles her feet and winced, luckily for me, I wore sneaker, I hated heels they gave me blisters. Sophia on the other hand prefers fashion to comfort. She always loved to look perfect, she's one to care about what people thought.
"I told you not to wear them" I huffed angrily
"if your legs has blisters, how are we going to race home?".
"They were on sale 50% off and they look so pretty" she pouted.
"Just shut it" I look outside to the darkness, it was getting really dark, the sky was starting to change colour, indicating it was almost twilight.
"let's go partying" Sophia suggested.
"I can't, I have to sleep early, remember I work right?, so no I don't want to party"
"Well I don't care, you have to come partying, you could get yourself a boyfriend, yes you seem lonely, and maybe we could see a perfect Mason Kendall" she wiggles her eyebrows and batted her lashes at me, making me shake my head.
"I doubt he even Remembers me"
"Who wouldn't, you were the Queen bee back then in high school, everyone adored you and wanted to be with you. How long has it been? A year?, sigh, only a dummy would forget you".
"Two years, I graduated since I was 16" I corrected her, emphasizing on the two.
"And you haven't spoken to him?" she asked shaking her head in disappointment
"You all were in the same clique" I just shrug
"Common, I heard Daniel is having a party, let's just go there, we will only be there for an hour, I promise".
After mins which seemed like years, of Sophia begging me, I finally gave in, but firstly I had to get into something more appropriate cause who wants to go partying in their office wear. I got into a black dress, then we headed to the party, we were few blocks away and we could already hear the loud sound of music, the driveway was packed with cars, so it was hard finding a parking space, once we got one, we walked in. We were immediately welcomed with the familiar smell of alcohol and God knows what, I scrunch my nose in disgust and pushed my way past a bunch of drunk teens, trust me it wasn't easy.
Sophia squeals and quickly walked up the marble stairs to Daniel's house, which one would consider gorgeous, but mine was bigger, I'm not bragging though. I sighed and sluggishly walked up the stairs behind Sophia and Cassie.
I instantly regretted why I agreed to coming as soon as I got in, I could have been home in my bean bag chair eating chocolate from my candy pot while watching my favorite series Teen Wolf. I stepped inside with Sophia following her to the bar, I see a few wolves playing beer pong and some other dudes chugging down bottles of Rosé. I rolled my eyes and sat on a red couch scrolling through I*******m, looking for the latest gossip, when all of a sudden I heard 'shot, shot, shot', I turned around and gasped "SOPHIE!!", she was drinking shots of vodka, isn't that hot? Wouldn't it burn her throat?, I turned around shaking my head smiling, I can't believe that's my best friend.
This is by far the most boring party I have ever been to, coming from someone that hates socializing, you might call me judgemental, but I couldn't care less. I am the most unsociable person you would ever meet, party ain't really my style, it makes me feel lonely mainly because Sophie goes off to have fun because being with me is boring and Cassie usually goes to have fun with my brother, and they are the only friends I have, it all becomes boring and depressing. honestly, I just end up standing at a corner watching everyone else get drunk and laid.
I checked the time, it was 10:30pm and I needed to get home, I ran through the mansion searching for Cassie to tell her I was leaving but I couldn't find her, growling in frustration since I couldn't find that little red hair, I sent her a text then ran out the house. It took me a while to get out of the mansion simply because most of the teens around were dead ass drunk, I should have never come.
I ran as fast as I could across the dark forest. After I got about a mile in, I stopped running and decided to walk across the rest of the way. The wind howled and the trees moved in eerie way. I sighed in relief when a huge mansion came into view. I got in, luckily no one was awake and my parents were out of the town already. I went up to my room, got the keys out of my bag and I unlocked the door, I dropped the keys on the cupboard and walked into the bathroom stripping off my clothes then turning on the shower letting all the hot water come in.The water ran down my back, I sighed leaning against the marble wall. After I was done I got into my pyjamas and tucked myself to sleep,then went to dream land.
I ran swiftly on the forest ground, my heat thumped rapidly. I felt chills upon my skin as I kept running. I could still hear their claws, just as I felt I had lost them, I stopped to catch my breath, I took a look around trying to see if I was in the clear. Then the crunching of dried leaves from behind me was heard. I was surrounded by all five of them, all of them fully transformed, I stopped moving and watched them slowly, I examined their movement then lifted my hands at them, my eyes bloodshot, veins popping out and hair standing, I felt something in me begging to be realeased, I grabbed two guys by the neck then slammed then against the trees. I then looked at the other three, eyes still bloodshot as I lifted then and slammed all three wolves on the ground. I heard them let out a growl. I let out a breath of relief as all bodies fell limp to the ground, my powers drained and my body worn out....
"Wake up" I jolted up, my body dripped of sweat as I panted, my heart was beating so rapidly. The sound of my room door shutting made me jump and look around.
"Earth to Aries" Cassie waved her hands in front of my face, I looked at her with cold eyes. I stood and walked over to the dispenser to get a glass of water, the whole thing kept playing in my head, I ran my hands through my already messy hair that stuck to my body due to sweat as I pondered on the dream.
What the hell was that?
