~Aurora POV~

What a long day!

I got off the flight and walked towards the airport. 

I closed my eyes and the fresh air of New Orleans hit my face. 

I have never come to this city before but it's beautiful.

Thanks to my mom, she sent me here to carry my graduation. Otherwise, she only allows me to go outside with my friends. She loves me and cares for me a lot.

I have always dreamed of studying abroad, and today I am finally here. God, thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.

I stopped myself with the luggage, seeing someone holding the poster with the name, "AURORA." —It's me!!

Yes! my name is Aurora — I was born in California and

there I graduated from my school as well 

My world is my mother. She raised me alone, yes — she is a single mother and looked after me. 

Well about my dad?—I don't know him, never heard about him or seen him whenever I asked my mom. She avoids the topic so I stopped asking while deciding not to make her uncomfortable anymore.

She struggled a lot in her life and raised me but never gave up on anything— I love her so much and she is my role model.

I never even went on a trip leaving my mother, but today I have come to a new city to fulfill my dreams — In our world, there's no one else for us, we are made for each other in every aspect.

I miss you mummy — please stay there for some time, I promise I will come back successfully and make you the queen of my career.

I reached out to the girl—who came for me.

   "Hey, this is me." I walked to the girl who was standing there, grabbing the banner of my name.

    "Are you Aurora Clark?" The girl muttered, pointing her finger at me to confirm my identity.

   "Yes, my name is Aurora Clark." I smiled, looking at her.

She looks pretty with curly hair and there is a twinkle in her smile lips.

     "Hey, this is Rosie!" She smiled, downing the banner and wrapping one hand around my back.

     "Both of our mothers are friends!" She chuckled

    "Hello, Rosie." I hugged her back.

    "Welcome to New Orleans, Aurora!" She welcomed me to my dream of the city.

     "Thank you so much." I smiled, breaking the piece of the hug.

    "Is this your first time here to visit New Orleans?" She inquired.

    "Yes, this is my first time!" I replied.

    "Okay then, shall we step on, now?" She muttered, pushing her hand towards the exit of the airport.

I sounded, "hmm."

"Give me your luggage." 

I gave her my luggage, and I took another bag of luggage into my hands. We walked ahead together to the entrance. 

Rosie kept all my things on her desk, and then we both sat inside the car.

   "Where are we going?" I asked her while opening the window of the car.

  "To my house." She replied to me

   "Am I not staying at my college hostel?" I questioned her.

   "Relax, darling. I have been staying here for the last five years —So, so I have rented the house here, and we have both gotten admission to the same college. " She revealed the piece of evidence and she was taking a U-turn when she said everything.

   "It means we are classmates." My eyes widened, and my jaw dropped.

   "Yes dude, so why don't you join me?"

   " I also spoke to your mother as well, and she agreed. " She looked back at me."

   "Hasn't she told you about this?" She questioned me while he was driving the car.

   "No! She just said— "you will help me with every piece of equipment."

    "Oh, then let me help you, honey." She winked at me, turning her face for a second.

   "Leave everything up to me." She chuckled, turning back while seeing the road through the window.

   "I was glad to hear that." I was scared to death about making friends in new university but now I am relieved!

We continued our discussion —Rosie is so friendly, and I like her. 

I hope our friendship goes forward. I am glad that I am going to start my new life here. 

Our car's balance slipped when someone bumped into it — Rosie stopped the car hurriedly taking left and right to balance the car.

  "Aaaahhhhh!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

  "Who the hell is he?" 

My heart skipped a beat

We got out of the car and ran outside hurriedly. 

I stepped back and my eyes widened as soon as my eyes captured a dead body dumped by a car.

Rosie called the police and informed them about the dead boy. 

They are investigating the case. As victims, they made us sit in the same place. 

The doctor of his team has also come along with the police and is checking the dead body.

Rosie does not let the police investigate me; she explained to them the incident herself. 

I am curious — How has this person bumped our car? There is nothing here other than buildings — I rolled my eyes over the surrounding

My eyes captured the dead body when the ward boys took the person while passing in front of him.

My eyes captured his neck —What are those bites on his neck?

The blood bleeds in from his neck

   "Okay, guys, now you can go!" The cop's voice pulled me into reality.

   "Thank you, sir." Rosie thanked everyone and closed the conversation. 

   "Cop, do you find anything?" I asked, losing my patience.

    "The monster attacked him." The cop revealed the piece of information and sighed.

   "What?" My jaw dropped a bit as soon as the information echoed in my ears.

     "Yes, our doctor team has concluded after checking everything that he has some monster bites on his neck and is drained of blood." The cop explained about the dead.

   "What do you mean by monsters?"

    "Vampire!"

My heart pounded so fast when I heard the vampires, do they exist in reality? 

    "Yes, this is not the first time; New Orleans has experienced common attacks from vampires and werewolves, and we got some international reports that some group had landed here.

   "We have to catch them." 

   "You will catch the evil monster sir, and I wish you all the best." Rosie wished him well. 

Damn, she is so cool! 

     "Thank you, lady, and sorry for keeping you waiting here!"

   "You can leave now!" The cops dismissed us, telling us to go

   "Shall we go, Aurora?" She asked me.

I nodded my head in response while getting into the car with Rosie.

This is so strange!!

Our journey took 20 minutes.

As soon as we reached Rosie's house — we get out of the car.

While closing the door behind me, I rolled my eyes at the environment of the house —the outside of the house was immaculate. 

The roof was gray and the walls were painted peach. Both sides have a beautiful collection of flowers and decorative trees — there is also a big screen led tv and fireplace just below it.

"Let's go inside!" Unlocking the door, she opened the door

Oh my goodness, this is so good —going inside the hall was open-spaced and designed sophistically, the side walls have some scenarios and family pictures. Also, a beautiful rooftop lamp was designed on the walls. It had a two-sided sofa and a wide window.

Through the side of the hall, stairs were going to the top portion of the house.

   "Nice house, Rosie!" I muttered and my eyes are still running over the house.

"Not only the house but you maintained the house, so well." I looked at her 

    "Hehe, thanks, Aurora. I don't like it when my surroundings are a mess — I prefer neat and clean." She muttered, parting her hands.

   "Aww, you are so cool, but I am not like you." I chuckled, pinching my nose.

    "I'm too lazy to keep my things clean." I sighed. 

She chuckled softly at my laziness. 

  "It's okay, honey; now you are going to be with me in three years —I will make you the perfect girl, and this is my promise." She winked at me. 

Now I'm excited to stay with Rosie. I've never stayed away from home, and this is my first time staying without my family, so I am curious about my new journey. 

   "Let's go; I will show you the bedroom." Rosie's voice pulled me into reality. 

I followed her to my new bedroom. 

   "So, this is your bedroom from today." Rosie showed me the bedroom. 

I walked inside while looking around the room — The room was painted pink in color and has an in-built wardrobe and a full wall window decorated with baby pink curtains. 

The double-size bed was fluffy and had light-colored bed sheets and cushions on it, whereas a woolen fur soft carpet was right beside it. It also had a desktop for studying and using the Pc

Oh my goodness, pink is my favorite hehe!!

I stopped in front of the beautiful balcony. 

Wow, there is a beautiful balcony in the room —where I can see the whole of New Orleans!!

   "Let's go— I will help you set up your things." 

  "Sure!" 

I kept the luggage on the bed, and Rosie helped me with it. She helped me with setting everything up.

  "So you liked my house?" She asked.

   "Yeah, your house is very beautiful, but the balcony of this bedroom is the most beautiful. " I replied to her while satisfying myself.

   "This room's balcony is the best; you can see the whole of New Orleans city from here."

   "Alright! You freshen up, I will cook dinner for both of us." She tapped her hand on my back and stepped out.

I sighed, looking at my surroundings — everything has changed now! 

The wind started taking its pace out of the blue.

I felt like someone was whispering my name, I turned towards the mirror and found a strange figure.

I opened my mouth to scream but oh my goodness, my voice didn't come out. I wasn't able to scream, its eyes were like looking deep into my soul, I can't describe it wasn't human like it had some fire coming out of its body which was hella huge. It had thorns in its skin and it was calling my name.

My body trembled but I turned back to face the person — but there was no one.

What the hell is this?

I again looked back to the mirror — no I can't see anyone

The wind started howling outside out of the blue — it was like it took something away with it. It sounded very harsh and very picky. It was kind of strange as the weather is fantastic but it was like some dark tornado is approaching.
