Aurora Clark is a seventeen-year-old teen who shifts to New Orleans. She makes new friends at her new university and falls in love with Jacob on their first meeting. Soon, she finds New Orleans mysterious when the students at her university are getting murdered one after another. On a random night, a vampire attacked her and tried to drink her blood, but Jacob came and saved her. She stepped back as soon as she saw Jacob shifting into a wolf; she gulped in fear because she didn't know he was a wolf. Jacob turns towards her, and she screams and pins herself to the wall.
