We had said our last farewells to the coven before we traveled back to the pack, I felt a bit useless, I thought it would be easy, to find anything that would lead us to who the rouges attacking people were.

Turns out I was wrong, and that I was far too hard on myself, we journey till we reached the pack territory, we reached during sundown,

Kara was already waiting out front with a welcoming smile on her face, my body melted in relief as I jumped down and came to hug her, her small frame felt like comfort and home to me.

I felt warmth, a warmth of a mother that I never had, unlike the coven that I had to keep my guard up, here I let it crumble down.

“ any luck with your search?” She asked quietly putting a hand on my shoulder to give me comfort, I shook my head, and told her it was a dead end.

I forced myself to take a look at my surroundings and see that the one person I was unconsciously looking for was not there, after wha
