This was exactly what Damian Cross wanted. Seeing Harold Aaron's unpleasant stare, he chuckled "What's in there that you don't understand!" Damian Cross inquired and was obviously happy putting the fellow where he should be, at his call and beckon.

"You fired me Damian? I worked with Lily's father and I also worked with boss Lily. None of them had any issues with me but you who just took over the company a few days ago have fired all the old staff and today you did the same to me?" Harold Aaron seethed.

Damian Cross felt a little uncomfortable with what Harold Aaron said. If a company was going to make progress, one shouldn't discard the old hands, especially those who knew the in's and outs of the company. And Harold Aaron was like an asset.

But his ego would not make him bulge. If Harold Aaron can condescend and beg him he might decide to retain him otherwise, he should go. He'll surely find someone to fill the vacuum. He doesn't want Harold Aaron to feel he was indispensable.
