I watched in slow-motion as the disgraceful young woman made a few unstable steps towards us, her hateful eyes never leaving Michael, and then she raised her hand in an attempt to slap him. With ease, he dodged her sloppy move by coming closer to me, gently pushing me, so I could take a step aside. The drunken blonde, who I assumed might have been a friend of the liar who wanted to sue Michael, or Bethany herself, stumbled and almost fell to the ground but the bearded man grabbed her by her arms, keeping her steady.

"Michael," he said in a way of greeting while helping the girl stand on her feet.
