"How was work today?" Sarah asked immediately I came home.

"You've never asked me that before, why do you care?" I dropped my handbag and slouched into a seat. At our ages, we still lived with our parents because neither of us could live on our own, Sarah tried it, it didn't work and I was just too attached to home to want to leave for any reason whatsoever.

"I'm just being curious," she shrugged, "and how was Daniel? Did you get to see him today?"

"So that's what you really want to know? He was doing well, miss girl I'm tired." I groaned. I didn't want to talk about my crush with my sister.

"Ugh, okay. I'll talk to him myself."

A part of me wanted to tell her about the whole shirt situation but I wasn't sure if they shared everything in their relationship.

"Why are you being so moody though? Did I do something to upset you?" She sat beside me and wiggled her eyebrows.

"No, I'm sorry, I'm just really worked up, I'm looking forward to your party though," I hoped that would lighten her mood up.

"Oh yes! I rented the entire beach, bitch." She said and started talking all about the experience to me.

"I am so nervous, your dad is back and now I'm nervous, you know how bitchy he can get, no offence." Stella paced back and forth my desk, fanning herself as she got ready to make her presentation.

"I've gone through your presentation and it looks just about fine to me, I'm pretty sure dad will be fine too." I tried to assure her. The meeting was supposed to be in an hour, we were just waiting for most of the important share holders to be back. "I haven't even seen him yet, I'll go talk to him and ensure he's in a really good mood before all of that, How's that Hmm?"

"Thank you bestie," she adjusted the bangs of her wig, "you are a life saver." She was heading back to her office when Daniel walked past us.

"Hey ladies," he smiled and oh my Gosh, it was enough to give me an orgasm.

"Hi Mr Romano." Stella blushed, hurrying away from view. Even though I'd told her he was off limits, she clearly still had a crush on the man but could I even blame her though?

"So I brought you iced coffee," he handed the coffee in his hand to me, "you never got to drink yours yesterday because of me so."

"That's so thoughtful of you," I smiled and took it from him, "you really didn't have to, it was equally my fault for being so distracted."

His eyes flickered over to my desk and all the littered files on there.

"I promise I was going to organise it, I've just been really occupied."

"It's fine," he shrugged, "my first meeting here," he sat by the edge of my desk and I took my seat, holding my breath at the presence of him. He had the first two buttons of his sky blue shirt undone and damn the way his hair sleeked back, looking so shiny, I wondered how he could look so perfect all the time.

"Trust me you are going to be fine," I have to go see my dad now." I stood to my feet, wanting to get out of there fast. "Thank you for the coffee , I love to start my day with coffee always."

I wandered to my dad's office and finally released the breath I had been holding in.

"Hi little potato," he called as soon as I walked through his door on the third floor. One side of his wall was a ceiling to floor window and the other sides were painted white with small black shelves that held Al his favorites artificial plants.

"Hi dad," I went to hug him where he was seated on his desk. He was a very round man, balding in the centre of his head already.

I took the seat across from him, "I heard you were back so just thought it was fair if I came by to say hi. How was your trip?"

"Amazing, we will catch up at home. It's time for the meeting, Hmm?" He stood to his feet with a struggling grunt and I nodded.

"Hey dad, easy on Stella, you know how well she's managed finances, her presentation is only to help us gain more not lose." I chipped in and he only chuckled.

"I will try, this is why you shouldn't employ best friends together."

We got to the meeting room. There was a long desk from one end of the room to the other and it was great to accommodate everyone. It had to be an intentional act to increase the tension I was already feeling because Daniel came to sit directly beside me.

I sucked my breath in, trying my best to pick up the words from Stella, trying not to think about how hot this man was.

"... And so that's why I decided we should send two of our best marketers on a fully funded business trip to France, and hope they pitch well enough to get 'Marcel' to cooperate with us." Stella concluded. "It seems like a lot of money but after thorough calculations, we will only be spending 0.05 percent of last month's profit." She said.

My father looked skeptical but I knew he was going to do well to honour my request and so he nodded, "who do you suggest for the trip that you're certain will earn back for the company?"

Stella's eyes met mine, "Miss Jennifer Jenner, for being the most competent on the team in the last five months and Mr. Daniel Romano, for his history at Vail and how he managed to raise the company's earnings by thirty percent every month."

"Anyone in objection with this suggestion?" My dad asked but my heart pounded in my chest, I was expected to go on an entire trip with Daniel, how would I survive?

"Since there are no objections, please prepare the two workers for the trip."
