I was all packed for the trip and we had a quick morning meeting with my dad and a few other committees, going through our pitches and seeing how convincing they were.

I had always looked forward to being in France and now I was going with my crush, that I would never cross the boundary with again in my life.

My dad drove us to the airport while Daniel and I sat in the back seat of his SUV.

I noticed he kept staring at Daniel through the rearview mirror and the poor guy was clearly lost for words to say to him.

"So you're engaged to my daughter Hmm?" My dad's cracking deep voice broke the awkward silence between us and for a split second I almost forgot my dad had two daughters.

"Yes sir." I love how Daniel kept his composure almost like he had no fear for what my dad could possibly say to interfere in their relationship.

"Hm, when you get back, I'd love to spend some time with you and have a quick discussion on what it is your plan is."

"That's fine by me sir."

We got to the airport and my dad waved us off, "I have things to attend to, keep us updated." He said before driving off.

"Don't mind my dad, he likes to act like he's all tough bones and what not."

"Yeah I can tell," Daniel chuckled. He'd brought a small traveling bag that he wheeled around and I'd only come with a bag I could hang on my shoulder.

His phone beeped right then and by the way his lips were curled into a smile, I knew what to expect. "Hi babe." I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at them both.

He put it on loudspeaker after a while, "hi Sarah."

"Jenny! I hope you two have fun! Send me great pictures, oh this is the one time I wished I work with dad!" She laughed, "I love you."

"Love you too," I called back.

"Alright babe, it's time for us to get started. We will call you in Paris." Daniel said, "love you even more."

We walked towards the check in counter.

"Why didn't you tell Sarah about you know, the kiss?" I asked him after we had joined the queue.

"Would you have wanted me to?"

"No, no, I mean no, I just thought you'd want to share it with her." I shrugged my shoulders. The last thing I wanted was for Sarah to despise me, I was just curious because he also kept the shirt staining issue from her, either that or she had not been very open about telling me about it.

"Like you said, you were drunk, it was an accident, your sister would feel upset and betrayed and I wouldn't want to be the one to come between you two."

"Thank you."

We stayed silent again and then I broke it, "Paris is almost eight hours from New York, ready to get jet lagged?"

"Well it's not going to be so lonely since I'll have you with me so honestly, yeah I'm fine."

I was so exhausted from traveling because there had been no stops between our flight, I just wanted to rest my head and sleep. Daniel had taken so many pictures for Sarah he'd said and I was too tired to deal with anything.

"You okay?" Daniel held my hand to hold me in place at how I seemed to be staggering by the time we had done everything necessary at the airport.

"Yeah I just need someplace to rest my head." I held my forehead with my free hand.

"It's okay, according to this, the hotel the company booked is only twenty minutes from the airport, so you should be fine in a matter of minutes." He said, looking through his phone.

My jaw dropped when he turned to a random and spoke to him in fluent French. The only thing I understood was when he said merci at the end.

"What was that about?"

"I wanted to know where we could find a cab that would take us out of here."

"No, I mean you can speak French?" Damn it was so sexy too.

"Yeah, my dad was Italian, so I spent seven years of my life in italy so yeah I speak Italian, and then we transferred to Spain because of my mom's job where I stayed another five years, so I'm fluent in Spanish as well," he chuckled, "French was just something I learned on my own."

"Okay show off but damn, it's no wonder I couldn't place what accent you spoke your English in." I said while we walked to the cab terminal.

"I have an accent?"

"You're kidding, right?" I raised one eyebrow, "it's a very good and sex... It's a very good one trust me."

"Oh, then I'm honoured."

We got into the cab and I was this close to laying on his shoulder.

"Hi, reservations for Jenner Inc. Staff?" He placed a card in front of the receptionist when we got to the beautiful five star hotel.

"Just give me a minute." She called back and typed somethings into her computer. "Alright," she slipped a card onto the counter that separated us, "room 804."

Daniel took the key and furrowed his brows at it, "there's two of us."

"Oh I'm sorry, your company booked just one room." She said.

"That must have been a mistake, can we book a second?" Daniel sighed.

"I'm terribly sorry sir, but tonight the hotel is hosting a fashion event so the rooms are filled with high class guests, the only reason you even got a room is because someone dropped out last minute. The event is tonight and tomorrow, then I can make a reservation for you afterwards." She twitched her brows, her french accent was really thick, I almost couldn't make her words out.

When she saw how we kept exchanging looks, she added, "if you want, I can cancel your reservation if you'd like to book somewhere else?"

Daniel must have seen the look of dismay on my face, "no it's fine, we're too tired to go anywhere at all, we will take the room tonight." He took the card from the counter.

"I hope you have a great night." She smiled.

We got into the elevator, and headed for our shared room.
