Henry had booked my flight to Germany for next week.

Before leaving, I bought grapes, Xavier's mother's favorite, to pay my respects at her grave.

It had nothing to do with Xavier; I owed her my gratitude.

Xavier's mother was buried in the most luxurious cemetery on the outskirts of the city.

Her photo on the tombstone showed her smiling gently, just as I remembered her.

I bent down to tidy up the tombstone when I heard a familiar voice from behind.

"Miss Frank, why are you here?"

It was Wendy.

She spoke gently, "Are you here to tend to my mother-in-law's grave? How thoughtful of you. But there's no need for that in the future. I will have people take care of it."

In front of me, she tossed aside the flowers I had brought.

My gaze fell on her wrist, and I saw the familiar bracelet.

I clenched my fist tightly.

"How did this bracelet end up with you?"
