Chapter Eleven

As soon as Angel got home, she rushed inside to change into jeans, her boots and hoodie. She ran like a bat out of hell to the barn where Cody and the hands were steadily trying to get the foal to eat. Cody said, “He won’t, nurse and I don’t think she is putting out enough for both foals.” The vet arrived five minutes after she did and took, a look at the foal; he was even looking weak from lack of nutrition. He said “We are going to have to put him on a supplement she isn’t producing enough for both hell at this rate I do not think she is producing enough for one. The birth was hard and traumatic for her. We should separate them from her and put them in their own stall together, and then you will have to feed them both the supplement every 4 hours.”

Angel looked up as her father and shockingly Damon came marching into the stable. Damon took one look at the foals and said “Wow, their little beauties.” Cody turned to the hands and said “You heard the man let’s get them moved
