It was all happening so fast, Angel said simply “This is a lot to take in for sure, but I need to go shower and get dressed if we’re to keep up with all your plans.” That said she went to the bathroom taking her clothes with her, she stood before the mirror trying to see if there were any physical changes from the day before. Cody stared down the man before him, seriously thinking about knocking him on his tail in the dust. Hunter himself spent the next three hours on and off the phone with various employees having them do the research he needed done. He had even called his father and Harrison who’d conferenced in his son’s and they’d brain stormed for a bit. He told them he’d promised Angel he’d have information for her the next evening. When they arrived all the hands were on deck to unload the horses. Cody made sure the most expensive horses got the bigger more prominent stalls, because as he said they were used to more luxurious surrounds. He said winning horses were an extension of most people’s families. The vet they had chosen was on hand and he had startling news for them, it seemed that one of the mares was in foal. Cody said he’d put in calls to try and find out who they had bred her with. Depending on the stud used she could have a foal that wasn’t worth anything. According to Darren the vet she was close to delivering, he said it would only be a few days if that before she did, he noted that she was carrying very, large as well. As soon as Angel got home, she rushed inside to change into jeans, her boots and hoodie. She ran like a bat out of hell to the barn where Cody and the hands were steadily trying to get the foal to eat. Cody said, “He won’t, nurse and I don’t think she is putting out enough for both foals.” The vet arrived five minutes after she did and took, a look at the foal; he was even looking weak from lack of nutrition. He said “We are going to have to put him on a supplement she isn’t producing enough for both hell at this rate I do not think she is producing enough for one. The birth was hard and traumatic for her. We should separate them from her and put them in their own stall together, and then you will have to feed them both the supplement every 4 hours.” Angel looked up as her father and shockingly Damon came marching into the stable. Angel stood near the barns and stared out over all that she owned and wondered how it was she out of all the girls in the world had gotten all of this. She had the dream now; it was every little girl’s childhood fantasy come to life. She watched the stallions as they ran around the paddock, and the two mares that were in a different paddock. She was so caught up in her own thoughts she didn’t hear Cody walk up. He said, “It’s a beautiful view, isn’t it Angel?” She nodded and said “Yes, sir it is. I’m meeting with Kyle in a bit about some quarter horses for the center.” Cody nodded and said, “I have got a line on another stallion, one of Heartbreakers sons; he’s a two-year old never been raced.” Angel smiled at him and said, “Setup a meeting and we will go have a look at him, if they are willing to sell him then we’re willing to buy.” She paused then said “I know you like to deal with reputable dealers for horse’s but there is a lot of information online and horse sales. By the end of the meeting things had been completed as she had hoped, and everyone knew what they had to get done. Her Aunt Lillian would be handling ordering fifteen passenger vans for the Center and two trucks, as well as a minivan for Meredith’s personal use. She herself would call the trailer dealership and have two trailers built to specification. The crews were already working on the dorms now, building them. The work was never done; Maria joined in on the cleaning frenzy and surprisingly so did a couple the hands that Cody could spare, even Grant and Trace got in on the action.
