Seeing Him Again

The beast raised his head. Our eyes locked in like magnets. Ocean against fire. The sun paled in comparison to the hue of his eyes. Stunning. I wanted to measure the depth of his burning pools. Get lost in his infernal world. He only stared at me as if I was some puzzle he wasn’t able to figure out. Intrigue? Was he here to satisfy his intrigue?

“Shift,” I added in a slightly quivering voice. I don’t know where I got this confidence from? Perhaps, my curiosity took over my reasons. I was aching to see the person who had brought me so much pleasure. I wanted to know about him. Wanted to know who he was. Is he a rogue or a warrior? Just who is he?

It seemed my beast wasn’t used to hearing commands nor he knew how to obey them. He retreated from over me like clouds do after drowning the ground, turned around and raced off. I could only watch him go. Once again dazed and intrigued.

His disappearance brought an onslaught of questions.
