Chapter 9

The whole ride from Shilou’s house to the supermarket, Jacob been so distant with her. She expected him to talk much on the ride but he was silent. He would sometimes took a glance at her and then went back to focus on the road. She wanted to drive but Jacob insisted that he’ll do it. She doesn’t have so much time to argue with him so she just let him.

They arrived at the supermarket and Jacob offered to push the cart. As they walk down the hallway, she grabs what she needed to buy and Jacob follows.

After a few turns, they arrived at the meat shop. “Jacs, can you pack a ground beef, please.” She said as she keeps her eyes at him.

Jacob didn’t even took a glance at her and just nodded before walking towards the ground beef. Her forehead frowned at his behavior.

When he returns to their cart, she finally opened her mouth and asked, “Are you okay?”

Jacob just nodded at her as he avoids his eyes from looking at hers. “We can go back home if you want.” She said.
