I was walking down the hallway when I saw a kid standing near the reception. He was wearing a red sweatshirt and black trousers. He had a tiny backpack hug around his back.
Who’s child is he? I walked up to that kid and placed my car keys on the reception desk.
“Hi, who are you looking for?” I asked the child, crouching down to his eye level.
“Mommy,” he said looking me in the eyes. He didn’t seem scared or lost. It was as if he knew what was going on. I thought the kid had accidentally come here or lost his way but he, on the other hand, was sure of where he was. Most of all, why was he here? And why did the reception and the security let him in?
“Are you lost?” I asked him.
“No. My mommy will be here to pick me up soon.” He said looking away from me. He was playing with the straps of his backpack.
