For Vivian, sneaking into a billionaire's party was surprisingly easy. Getting out was the problem.

Vivian bit her lip as she tried to get out unnoticed. She sipped on her margarita like the rich did. She felt it was helping her to blend. She did not want to drag any attention from these.... Predators.

She walked hurriedly down the stairwell as she tried not to get her rented dress caught up in anything.

She walked briskly down a darkly lit corridor, praying the door led to an exit.

"That girl couldn't even pole dance....." She heard a voice also coming down the hallway.

She needed to be quick.

She practically ran as she went down the hallway. She bumped into someone who was coming from the other direction.

"Sorry." She said, trying to manoeuvre him and walk the other way.

He pulled her by the arm.

"Is that how to apologise?" His dark voice boomed.

Vivian looked up. It was Adrian Cross. 6'1 Adrian Cross. Adrian Cross, the most eligible bachelor on almost all the magazine covers you could find. Everyone's secret crush and forbidden fantasy.

Adrian Cross, who was always in one dating scandal or the other, the billionaire that could never keep his hands to himself, was the person she bumped into. She mentally cursed herself as she prayed this situation would be over as soon as possible.

"What do you mean? I literally said sorry." Vivian pointed out.

"You bumped into me." He said.

"So....? What else do you want to hear from me?" Vivian frowned.

"Do I know you?" He asked.

"Is it not obvious that you do not?"

"How did you get into this party?" He stared into Vivian's green eyes.

"With an invite, obviously."

"Do not play with me. How did you get in? I know all the people invited." His grip tightened around her arm.

She used the other hand that was holding her margarita to pour some of it unto Adrian's suit.

"You bitch." He said with this controlled anger.

"That is what you get for acting like a complete Rake towards a lady." She said in almost a whisper.

"A lady?" He laughed. "You are one of those illiterates that can barely afford food, seasoned thiefs that steal in grocery stores. You literally just snuck into a party you weren't even invited to...., and you call yourself a lady?" He laughed again.

Those words stung Vivian. She knew she was a nobody, but she knew she could never stoop so low to go stealing. She would rather work for hours and hours to get food on the table for her and her sickening father.

"You don't know me." She said, trying to keep her cool.

"Oh, so let me guess..." He gave this sarcastic smile. "You are one of those whores who are looking to be fucked and paid?" He smiled. "You would've started off that way, sweetheart." He smiled and lifted her jaw.

Vivian felt like throwing up. she slapped his hand off her jaw.

"You are insane if you think I am one of those women. Even if I was, who told you I would want to be fucked by you? You perv." She said bitterly. "I wouldn't want to be even caught dead in bed with someone like you, thoughtless of you."

"Do you know who you are talking to?" He tilted his head.

"Oh, I know. The international fuck boy, Adrian Cross. Or do you want to enlighten me more, sir? The man who just displayed fifty shades of stupidity just because someone bumped into them? Or the man who claims he is a bachelor but just loves sleeping with different women? Tell me, Cross. Which one." She smiled.

"You're going to regret every single word you uttered here." His jaw clenched.

"Oh really? Spare me the details." She smiled menacingly. "Let me even say more...." She said trying to think. I would never marry a man so full of himself, living in his head, fucking different women, not even caring about who you step on. I pity the woman who will marry you." She poured the rest of her margarita all over his suit. "If you'll excuse me, I have somewhere to go." She walked around him and continued down the hallway with her heart thumping. She removed the hair clip from her hair.

The wind touched her face as she found the exit some turns after the hallway. She removed her phone from her purse and called her best friend; Stacy.

"So...., how was the party....." She sounded excited.

"It was fun....., until I couldn't find the exit, and I bumped into Adrian Cross and argued with him as well." She bit her lip as she hailed a cab.

"Girl, you did what?" It sounded like she dropped her phone.

Vivian narrated everything as she got home.

"Oh...., why didn't I follow you." Stacy sounded like she would burst into tears at any moment.

"I regret going for that party." Vivian rummaged through her bag for her house key.

"If i were you, I wouldn't regret it. I would've been in bed with him as we speak." She laughed her little carefree laugh.

"Girl, I'll call you back. I'm home, I don't want to wake Dad up." Vivian said as she opened the door.

"Sure, no problem." She said.

As she walked through the door, all she wanted to do was to forget all about Adrian and his amazing jawline and what his hand on her jaw felt like.

She went to my room and laid on her bed for a while. She hopped the next day would be less dramatic as today. But little did she know this was just the beginning of he problems.

  • His Billion Dollar Bride    THE WOMAN HE COULDN'T FIND

Adrian Cross was losing his mind. And for the first time in his life, he couldn't do a damn thing about it.It had been almost twenty-four hours since Vivian left their house, and he still had no idea where she was.No address. No location. No message telling him she was safe.Nothing.He had called her so many times that he had stopped counting. He had sent messages, left voicemails, and even tried calling from his office phone when she stopped answering his personal number.Every attempt had ended the same way.Silence.His wife had disappeared from his life, and he was sitting in his office watching it happen."Call Stacy again."Daniel, who stood in front of his desk holding a tablet, slowly raised his head."Sir, I've already tried.""Then try again!""I did. Her phone goes straight to voicemail."Adrian slammed his palm against the desk."Then call her from another number!""Sir—""DO IT, DANIEL!"Daniel fell silent. For several seconds, the only sound in the office was Adrian's

  • His Billion Dollar Bride    THE WOMAN WHO CLAIMED HIS BABY

Adrian barely slept that night.Every time he closed his eyes, he saw Vivian sitting on their bed with tears running down her cheeks, looking at him as though he were a stranger.I don't know you anymore. Her words had followed him everywhere. He had heard them while pacing his study. He had heard them while calling Daniel to demand updates on the investigation. He had even heard them when he finally went upstairs and found Vivian lying on her side, facing away from him.He had wanted to hold her.He had wanted to explain everything again. But what could he say that he hadn't already said?Someone was deliberately destroying his marriage, and no matter how many times he insisted that the messages were lies, the evidence kept getting worse.First, the pictures. Then the recordings. Now, a claim that Shannon had been pregnant with his child.Adrian rubbed his face and glanced at the clock.5:38 a.m.He hadn't slept for more than an hour.Beside him, Vivian shifted slightly beneath the c

  • His Billion Dollar Bride    THE MESSAGES THAT BROKE HER

Adrian Cross had never hated his office more than he did that morning. For three days, his life had revolved around the same scandal. Every time his legal team made progress, another photograph appeared. Every time his security team traced a lead, it seemed to end with an anonymous account or an uncooperative source.Someone was determined to destroy his marriage. And Adrian was running out of patience."Tell me you have something useful," he said, staring at the man seated across from his desk. His head of security, Daniel, placed a folder on the table."We've traced some of the original photographs to two accounts. Both were created recently, and the people behind them used methods that make identification difficult. We're still investigating.""Still investigating?" Adrian repeated coldly."Sir, whoever did this knew what they were doing. The photographs were taken from different angles, and some were released hours apart. Whoever has them may have been following you for a while."

  • His Billion Dollar Bride    THE WORLD THINKS HE CHEATED

The sound of the front door opening made Vivian sit up.She had been staring at the same spot on the bedroom wall for almost twenty minutes, trying not to look at her phone. It hadn't stopped buzzing since the scandal broke, and every time the screen lit up, she felt a fresh wave of anxiety wash over her.She had eventually switched it off.She couldn't take another headline.Another photograph.Another stranger telling her what was happening in her marriage. The door downstairs closed."Vivian?"Adrian's voice. She closed her eyes briefly. He was home.A few seconds later, she heard his footsteps coming up the stairs. They were quick, almost hurried, and she could tell he was looking for her."Vivian?""I'm upstairs."Her voice came out quieter than she intended. The footsteps grew louder. Then Adrian appeared in the doorway. He was still wearing his work clothes, but his tie was loose, and his hair looked as though he had run his hands through it several times. His expression change

  • His Billion Dollar Bride    THE SCANDAL

Adrian Cross was having a good morning. For once, he had woken up without his phone ringing beside his head. He had eaten breakfast with his wife, kissed her forehead before leaving the house, and promised to return early enough for dinner.More importantly, he had actually meant it.He wasn't going to spend the entire day buried in meetings. He wasn't going to sit in his office until midnight while Vivian waited for him at home. And he certainly wasn't going to allow another business emergency to steal the little time he had finally decided to give his family. His family. The thought still felt strange sometimes. But in the best possible way.Adrian stepped out of the elevator on the executive floor, adjusting his cufflinks as he walked toward his office."Good morning, Mr. Cross.""Morning.""Good morning, sir.""Morning."He greeted his employees without slowing down, carrying the same calm expression he wore every day. His security detail followed a few steps behind him before sto

  • His Billion Dollar Bride    JUST YOU AND ME

For the first time in weeks, Adrian woke up without reaching for his phone. It was a small thing.Almost insignificant. But for a man who had spent the last several weeks checking emails before his eyes were even fully open, it was practically a miracle. His phone was on the bedside table, vibrating every few seconds.Emails.Missed calls.Messages from his assistant.A reminder about a meeting scheduled for nine in the morning.Another reminder about a meeting scheduled for eleven. And a message from his chief financial officer asking him to review a document before the afternoon.Adrian ignored all of them.Instead, he turned his head toward the woman sleeping beside him.Vivian was curled up beneath the blanket, her hair spread across the pillow. One hand rested beneath her cheek, and the other was tucked comfortably against her stomach. She looked peaceful.Adrian smiled. He couldn't remember the last time he'd woken up and simply watched her sleep without feeling the immediate ne
