Chapter 4

As expected, my parents don't hesitate to interrogate me. I stick to my story of being the bodyguard for Liana King.

"Be careful and stay safe darling." Mum says as she hugs me.

"I will Mum. Call me if Mint needs sorting out. I'll come right away."

"I can't believe my daughter is all grown up and off to protect people." Dad cries as he hugs me.

I laugh, "I'm already half way to fifty Dad."

"Don't miss me too much!" I call as I put my suitcase in the extra cart which I have just attached to my motorbike.

My family wave as I shoot off.

When I arrive at Panda King's residence, I bump into Liana. I feel a little guilty for using her name in my white lie.

Her face turns red as she straightens up, "S-Sorry Tin! I didn't mean to bump into you! I'm so sorry." She says nervously.

I laugh, "It's okay. I'm fine." She is different from her brother. Why is she so flustered?

"Are you sure? I can check for you if you aren't." She says eagerly.

"No need." I say quickly and glance around. "Where's Pan?"

"In the kitchen."

"Kitchen?" I follow her and stare in shock at Panda King wearing an apron and cooking something delicious.

"Wow, what's this?" I say as I walk closer.

"Liana! Why did you bring him here?!" Pan says angrily as he glares at me.

"Calm down brother. He's your bodyguard now remember. It's fine."

My stomach suddenly growls loudly. Embarrassed, my face heats up.

"See? Tin is hungry too." Liana says with a grin.

"Sit down." Pan grunts as he scoops some spaghetti out into a plate.

"Thank you!" I say gratefully as I start eating. I'm too hungry to worry about their eyes watching me.

"You're so cute Tin!" Liana laughs.

"What?" I ask anxiously. Did she find out already? "I'm not cute!"

Liana smiles, "Your denial just made you ten times cuter."

I scowl at her but she only laughs. Both of these siblings are weird.

"Isn't he cute when he eats Pan?" Liana suddenly asks her brother.

I hold my breath. Why is she asking him that?

Pan is staring at me with a poker face as he replies, "No."

"You have some food on the side of your mouth." Liana says, gesturing at me.

"Here?" I ask. She shakes her head.

"I'll do it." She gets a tissue and walks towards me.

Before she can wipe it, another hand snatched the tissue from her. "I'll do it."

I can't show how shocked I am or they'll find out. Pan wipes my mouth gently. It feels strange.

"Don't hit on my sister." He whispers as he moves away.

That was the reason he did it? I roll my eyes, "I'm going to unpack now. Thank you for the meal Pan." I grin as I reach up and pat his head like a small child's.

Liana watches in interest as Pan glares at me.

"Let me know if you have nightmares so I can protect you." I laugh as I walk out of the kitchen. One of the maids takes me up to my room.

The room is pretty impressive. It's certainly larger than my bedroom at home. Unpacking my suitcase, I fill in and organise the wardrobe and chest of drawers. As I hold my sanitary pads in my hands, I survey the room. Where can I hide them so no one will find them?

I decide to put a few packets into the drawers, under my socks and some hidden in the wardrobe. It would be an issue if anyone finds out.

My mobile rings and I pick up.

"Hello?"

"How is it going Tin?" Hans asks cheerfully.

"It's alright. I'm settling in right now. Ah, did you not know that I had to live here with the client?" I ask. He would have mentioned it.

"I didn't. Won't that be a problem Tin?" Hans says in concern.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure no one finds out." I say quietly.

"Take care Tin. Let me know if you need anything."

"Thank you Hans." I smile.

I can count on Hans to have my back. He's been my trainer and friend for years.

Lying down on the king size bed, I roll around on the comfy mattress for a bit. I'm so tired. My life is going to be long from now on. I should get as much sleep as I can.

"I can't wait for my £3000." I smile sleepily as I close my eyes.

What I expected to be a blissful sleep on a comfortable and expensive bed, is reduced to restlessness as something heavy lands on me whilst I am asleep, waking me up.

Groaning, I push it off me but it clings onto my arm. What the hell is this lump?!

Pulling my cover to the side, I stare in the darkness. It's a person. Switching on the night lamp on the bedside table, I look at it properly. It's only 3am.

"Get off." I say and push the person off. As my eyes keep staring, my slow brain realises who it is.

"PANDA KING!!!" I scream in horror.

He slowly stands up off the ground and climbs back onto the bed. Did he not hear me?

I yawn as I watch him get comfortable under my blanket. Is this guy okay? He doesn't know I'm a woman so it should be fine right? I'm too sleepy to deal with him right now.

As the daylight filters into the room, my eyes feel sore. I couldn't go back to sleep last night because of a certain someone who slept soundlessly like a baby next to me.

"Hey, I heard Pan went to your room last night?" Liana says casually as she eats breakfast.

My eyes widen and I stop with a croissant and a glass of orange juice in my hands. "How did you know?"

She laughs as she drinks her coffee.

"We heard you shout."

"What?!" Did all the servants hear too? Is that why they were staring at me oddly and whispering to each other when I came down?

"Don't worry, it's normal. Pan has a habit of sleepwalking. He usually ends up in other people's bed so it's nothing for you to worry about." Liana reassures.

"Other people's beds?" I ask, I try not to laugh as my imagination goes wild.

"What's so funny?" Pan's voice asks from the entrance of the dining room.

"N-Nothing!" I say with a smirk.
