Chapter 3

By the time we arrive at his mansion, Panda King doesn't look as frightened as he did earlier.

He manages to pull his helmet off but his jet black hair sticks up like Goku's and I can't help but laugh.

"How can you laugh?!" He glares at me.

"Your hair is a mess." I run up to him and reach out to sort his hair.

"Hey, what are you doing?" He asks backing away from me.

I grin, "I doubt a rich son like you would want to be laughed at for his messy hair resembling an electric shock."

"Shut up." He mutters before heading inside.

The interior is really everything I had believed a rich man's bachelor pad would look like. He has a lot of various rooms, even a gaming room with a large snooker table in the centre.

"Wow, this is really the life!" I say in fascination as I touch the gold mantelpiece in the sitting room. It looks more like a ball room than sitting room. Three of my bedrooms would fit in here.

"Here's the contract. Read through it and sign." Pan says as he hands me the booklet and a pen.

I scan the document. It has normal business terms. To summarise, the terms are bias and in favour of Party A.

"I can add some of my own terms right?" I say, "Some of these aren't fair."

"What do you want to add?" Pan asks curiously.

"Here, it mentions that I have to wear my uniform when I work." I show him the text. "It would be best for me to stay undercover right? So people wouldn't suspect anything and we can bait out and catch your enemies easily."

"Hm." He thinks for a while, "Fine. But you look like you're having too much fun imagining using me as bait to catch them."

I smirk, "I'm not one to lie. That's my plan. I'll stay beside you so if they attack, I can catch them and do my job to protect you. We can kill two birds with one stone."

"Have you finished reading the rest of it?" Pan asks.

I continue reading. When I get to page three, in small writing, I see something which makes my hands clammy.

"Party B will live with Party A until the end of the contract."

Holding out the contract towards Pan, I ask him nervously, "What does this mean?"

Shrugging nonchalantly, he confirms, "You'll be staying here. I've got your room prepared already."

"W-Wait, I have to not only be on service 24/7 but also live here with you?! Isn't this slavery?" I stand up angrily. I thought we could maybe get along but is he just making a fool of me as revenge?

If I live here, won't he discover my true gender? Then I won't get my £3000 a month. I'm stupid for doing this for money but money can feed my family and let me buy things I need.

"Pan! I've brought some..." The sudden feminine voice distracts me.

The woman who appears is beautiful with long blonde hair and blue eyes. Why does she seem familiar?

Her eyes widen in surprise as she stares at me and her face tints pink. What is with her reaction?

"Y-You're the one who saved me that day at the club. I didn't get to thank you." She smiles, "This must be fate!"

I rack my brains. Do I know her? Ah, she was with Pan that night. She's the one I managed to catch when she tripped. I'm surprised she still remembers me.

"Hi." I say awkwardly.

"What are you doing here? I didn't know you were Pan's friend."

"Um, actually I am–" I place my hand on my nape as I think of how to introduce myself.

"Liana, he's my new bodyguard." Pan explains.

"What's your name?" She asks, her blue eyes sparkling.

"Tin." I reply.

"Liana, let us finish some business talk in private first." Pan says sternly.

She pouts, "Why do I have such a mean brother?"

"I'll be meaner if you don't leave right now." He says coldly.

I roll my eyes at his attitude, "Are you always like this?"

"Yeah, so what?" He says with a scowl. "One more thing, don't hit on my sister."

As if he needs to tell me that. Does he have a sister complex?

"Sure."

"So you're ready to sign?"

"Wait, about the living here thing. I will definitely have my own room?" I ask.

He nods, "Didn't I say that already?"

"Fine." I sign the contract.

"Good. You can start straight away."

"I'll go pack some things from home." I say standing up.

Even if I do get mistaken as a man, my mother always wants me to act more feminine but I just can't bring myself to do it. She will definitely be against me living under the same roof as Panda King.

As I drive home, I think up a few stories I can tell her. She can't know that I am acting as a man to be a bodyguard.

"Why are you packing?" Mint asks as I put my tops, hoodies and jeans into a suitcase.

"I've got a new job so I'll be moving." I say.

"Moving? Don't tell me you're a housekeeper?" My brother laughs.

I scowl at him and throw a hanger but he dodges just in time.

"Don't underestimate me. I'm a bodyguard."

"Which rich person will you be protecting?" Mint asks curiously.

"Pa–" I quickly stop. I can't tell him the truth. "Liana King. You probably don't know her." I say. It's safer to have him think I am guarding and living with a woman.

"What?! You're the bodyguard for the Liana King?! How? What luck did you receive?!"

"Huh? You know her?" I ask, completely confused at his fanboy attitude.

"Of course. Haven't you heard of the King Company who run the biggest hotels, malls and other ventures? They're the richest family here. I can't believe my own sister is working for them!"

As I add my essential toiletries into the suitcase, my brother runs downstairs shouting loudly, "Mum! Dad! Tina is going to be rich!"

"You little!" I shout down. What an unreliable brother!
