The villa burned with chaos.

Alarms wailed, glass shattered, gunfire cracked in violent rhythm. The thick smell of smoke and gunpowder seeped through the hallways as Ethan pulled Aria down the hidden staircase, his grip like iron shackles.

“Move, Aria!” he hissed, his eyes sharp and unyielding.

Her bare feet stumbled on the stone steps. “Ethan, please—”

He spun on her, gun gleaming in his hand, eyes blazing with a mix of fury and fear. “Don’t argue with me. I won’t lose you.”

Her heart stuttered. Was that desperation in his voice? Or obsession?

Before she could answer, the entire wall shuddered with the force of an explosion. Dust rained down. Aria screamed as Ethan shoved her behind him, his body a shield.

“They’re inside,” he muttered, his voice deadly calm.

On the ground floor, Nathaniel moved like a blade through the chaos. His men surged forward, exchanging fire with Ethan’s guards. The marble floors were slick with debris and blood.

  • His Contract Mistress   The Escape Attempt

The silence after her scream still lingered, like an echo carved into the broken walls.Ethan’s chest rose and fell violently, his eyes locked on her like a predator circling prey. His shirt was torn, blood painting his skin, but the fury in him burned brighter than any wound.Nathaniel leaned against the wall, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, his gaze fixed on Aria with something softer—pain, longing, and the faintest trace of guilt.Aria’s body shook. Her own words replayed in her mind: If you kill him—I’ll never forgive you.She had meant it. Every syllable. But now she could see what it cost her.Ethan stepped forward. The weight of his presence filled the air, heavy and suffocating.“You’d rather defend him than me?” His voice was low, raw, dangerous.Aria swallowed, her throat dry. “I just wanted you both to stop—before you destroyed each other—”“Stop?” His laugh was sharp, humorless. “You don’t get it, Aria. There is no stopping. Not until one of us is dead.”Her ch

They weren’t just brothers anymore. They were executioners, circling, waiting for the kill. And she was the reason.“Step aside, Ethan,” Nathaniel said, his voice low, controlled, but vibrating with fury. “You’ve taken enough from me. Tonight I take back what’s mine.”Ethan’s hand flexed on the gun at his side. His knuckles bled, his suit shredded, his lips split open. Yet he still stood tall, cold, unyielding.“Nothing of yours is standing here,” Ethan said, tilting his head toward Aria. “She chose to be with me.”Aria’s heart jolted. Did I?Nathaniel’s eyes burned into hers, softer but sharper than any blade. “He forced you into his world, didn’t he? Contracts, control, chains disguised as silk. You don’t belong to him, Aria. Not truly.”Ethan let out a bitter laugh. “Funny. You call me a monster, but you’re the one who would rather see her destroyed than free.”The words between them were knives—each cutting her in half.Aria staggered to her feet, her voice breaking. “Stop it! • His Contract Mistress   Torn Between Fire and Blood

Nathaniel’s lips curled into a dangerous smile, even with blood dripping down his chin. “She’s not yours to summon like a dog.”Ethan’s eyes narrowed. “And she’s not your angel to worship either.”Aria’s stomach twisted. Every word between them was a dagger—both aimed at her.The gun in her hands felt heavier by the second. She wanted to scream, to run, to break free from this brutal tug-of-war.But before she could decide, Nathaniel lunged again. He slammed Ethan against the wall, his arm pressing across his brother’s throat. Ethan’s face turned red with rage as he fought to push him off.“Run, Aria!” Nathaniel barked, his voice raw.Ethan’s snarl broke the air. “Don’t you dare move!”Aria froze. The smoke, the blood, their voices—it was too much. Her legs wouldn’t obey her.Suddenly, a figure emerged from the smoke at the end of the corridor—a tall man in black, his rifle raised. One of Nathaniel’s men.Aria screamed. The gunfire came fast—sharp, deafening. Please!”Neither heard her.Ethan drove his fist into Nathaniel’s ribs with brutal force. Nathaniel snarled, retaliating with a savage uppercut that snapped Ethan’s head back.Blood sprayed. The fight wasn’t elegant—it was raw, feral, fueled by years of hatred.“You took everything from me!” Ethan roared, slamming Nathaniel against the wall. “My company, my reputation, and now you want her?”Nathaniel spat blood, his eyes wild. “I didn’t take anything—you destroyed it yourself! And now you’re destroying her too!”Aria’s heart pounded as she watched

  • His Contract Mistress   The First Strike

The villa was a fortress of silence, heavy with tension. Aria lay awake in Ethan’s arms, her ears tuned to every creak of the walls, every distant rustle outside. Something was coming. She could feel it in her bones. Her chest rose and fell with shallow breaths. She dared not move, dared not disturb him—yet her body thrummed with the unmistakable hum of danger. And then it came. The first sound was subtle: the faint pop of a silenced weapon. One guard crumpled to the ground outside. Another muffled shout. Then silence again.Aria stiffened. Ethan’s eyes snapped open instantly, his instincts sharp as a blade. He sat up, dragging her with him. “Get dressed.”“What—”“Now.” His tone was icy, lethal. He was already pulling a gun from the bedside drawer.Aria’s hands shook as she fumbled for a robe. Her mind spun. Nathaniel. He’s here.Ethan pressed his back to the wall, gun angled toward the door. His voice was low, controlled. “Don’t make a sound.”Outside, shadows moved swiftly. Nathani
