CHAPTER SIX

Oliver's POV (cont).

I took her to another office and made her sit. She doesn't even know I'm the boss so why take her to my main office?

I placed an order to one of the restaurants outside but not without asking her what she wanted.

"Ummm.... spaghetti and broccoli sauce" she said as her eyes searched everywhere.

"Are you looking for something?" I asked.

"Aaargh! Not really,my back hurts. I just want to lie down"

"But you didn't wanted to come with me initially and now you want to lie down"

"I couldn't leave those customers,it was so scary at first that I wanted to run. Everybody kept coming for me to attend to them but... I remembered how long I've suffered to get a job,to work in my dream company,so why will I complain even if I'm to die while working. It will be an honour" she said dreamily and I stare In disbelief how one is willing to do anything for the growth of a building she admires.

"Well,you Did really well and it's as a result of the guy you attended yesterday"

"Oh yes! That lucifer right? I told Jay about it but he wouldn't believe it. If only joy had come back earlier from the store she would have believed but I had to go"

"Who's Jay?"

"My friend,he disturbs a lot. Guess what? I ran away from him this morning before he reached our house"

"Hmmm..why?"

"He wanted to dress me up again!!" My saliva caught in my throat and I choked,I coughed out badly and she narrowed her eyes,damn! Why did those words affect me like that?

"Hey,take it easy ok?"

"You said he wanted to dress you up? Like he has been dressing you up?" I asked as I felt something burning in me,but I shook it off.

"Yes! He gave me that gown to wear,very tight nonsense. Joy bought a short skirt and a shirt yesterday and he said he was coming over to give it to me this morning,so I ran!!"

I bursted out laughing,I couldn't believe where my mind was heading to,oh! No wonder she was so decent and different yesterday because she's totally the opposite right now. She looks like an Arab with her res shawl,dressed so shabbily and with the attitude of i don't care.

Her food arrived and she ate hungrily,she urged me to join her but I declined. I told her it's a way of apologising for wrong acts.

She threw the fork to one side and used her hands to eat the spaghetti,she closed her eyes and savoured the meal. This girl had no iota of shame or dignity as a girl,she licked her hands noisily and requested for more.

Aunt Berby called.

"Olive, where's sanctity? Kyle is here!!" My blood boiled,what does he want again? I stared at Sanctify as she devoured her meal.

"She won't be coming,let someone else attend to him"I say and aunt Berby's voice almost pierced my ear drums.

  Aunt Berby is my dad's sister, literally my aunt and the caretaker of this company. My father couldn't trust anyone to handle the company or some to guide me.

Her name is Berbie blues married to a professor in Bri-Royals academy in Canada.

He comes home once in a blue moon. We fondly called her aunt Berby,she was cool,strict,smart,funny and loved us the same way she would love her children,Melisa and Mandy.

They are studying overseas so she's literally on her own right now. She rarely visits home no matter how Laurel and I convince her,she prefers her shell all alone.

I might be the CEO but she's the Boss of bosses.

"Are you crazy? Send sanctity in right now!!" She hung the call.

"Hey,you have a special customer waiting for you"

"Oh no! When I am almost finished with this,keep this for me,don't you dare touch it m Mr..."

"It's Stones,call me stones"I tell her.

"Stones? Hell no! You're more like rock,your body,face and muscles all hard" she said and my heartbeat palpated faster,was she checking me out?...Even if she was, what's so special about....what's wrong with me?!

"I'll call you Rock,so rock you're forgiven. Thanks for the meal" she said wiping her hands with the hem of her gown.

"Dear Lord!!! There's a sink beside you,why not use that?"She hissed at me and cleaned her mouth.

"Just do well to come back and sign ok? Your food will be waiting"I told her and she nodded.

"Definitely! I just don't know when Mr. Lucifer will come around"

"Why" I asked her knowing very well that Kyle is here.

"He said he said he will be taking me out on a date and i don't know how long"

Those words were like bomb shell to my ears,Stange anger filled the lump of my throat and i could feel jealousy running through my blood spine.

Kyle's Pov.

I tapped my feet and stood patiently for her to come out,I couldn't believe she Made me laugh, something I rarely did in years.

I was actually here to see Oliver to give him a clear warning and an Ultimatum on the loan his friend had collected. 

Aside from that;a client had wanted to have a contract with Stone's fashion house so I had to swallow my pride and come visiting only to be confronted with someone that awoke something dead in my soul.

She came out smiling and I couldn't help but be amused at what she was wearing.

"What? What's funny?" She folded her arms across her breasts and frowned.

"Umm.. nothing,you have a killer fashion sense" I told her and she smiled.

"You know right?! One day I will open a fashion store and name it santy fashions' ' he twirled happily.

"At Least someone agrees with me that I'm a fashion designer"

She told me happily and I didn't want to ruin her mood, seriously?!!

"A client loved the designs on the clothes you sold to me,the comments on it was stellar,he needs that same fabric more like 20 yards"

"Oh really!!" She jumped in excitement and wanted to run inside but I dragged her back.

"Remember the promise you made yesterday," I told her.

"Of course,if you get a customer for the design...I will follow you out"

"Good, let's go" I held her soft hands but she withdrew immediately.

"Woah! Woah!! With all these soldier warriors lining up outside? No way!" She said pointing to my men outside and I remembered the encounter she had with them.

"Were you hurt?"

"I was broken and I'm not going out with you and them!!"

She said and I called the head of my men to dismiss them. Her joy was renewed as she jumped happily and clapped her hands and went outside. What a crazy shabbily dressed girl.

We entered the car and she stared everywhere in utmost awe, even while sitting she bounces on the chair and felt how soft it was.

"Ah! Teach me how to ride Mr cute face..." She said and I chuckled.

"Of course I will,but that will be after our outing."

"Erm..yes! I want to go to the park" I stare at her in shock.

"The park??" I ask to be sure again because I could remember that place clearly,it was a playground for children.

We went there anyway and stood there transfixed to the environment.

I felt irritated at the sight of children playing around happily,it looked really strange as I felt anger building up in me.

Why would she bring me here,do I look like a child or a joke to her? Why the heck will I listen to her demands? I'm the boss and I just wanted her to make me smile and forget the dark stone creature that I am.

Being around her yesterday made me feel what I haven't felt in a long time, Comfort!! I felt at ease and I wanted that same feeling.

But I really feel so angry right now and irritated as she played and joined the children in making a sand castle.

'Oh Kyle Queen!! How did you even get here when you have so much work on your plate'. 

She came over and screamed for us to go to the water to sit at the bank of it but I waved her off in anger.

"I don't know who you are,who sent you and what you're doing to me but don't you ever come near me again!!"

I entered the car and drove out in speed despite her cries and pleadings.

I can't believe I called off my men just because of her. I hit my head to remind myself of how silly I was going out with some haggard girl in the First place. I called my men and I set back to work.

Oliver's POV

I was nervous, angry and jealous. I couldn't fathom why,maybe because she violated the rule as a staff or the fact that she's not yet back or the fact that she's with some devil drives me mad.

It's past eight in the evening and she's not yet back! Since morning!!

Is that how cheap she is? You met a guy yesterday and today you're frolicking around him!

And Kyle,Could it be that he's possessed? That guy is like a shadow of his moody self. I could never imagine in my next life that he will be taking someone out, not especially a girl like Sanctify.

"Guys,you need to go home already" I told my friends who sat lazily in the office waiting for me.

They came visiting and I told them what transpired but the idióts didn't believe a dime,so they were going to wait till they saw things for themselves.

"We aren't going anywhere,I really want to see Kyle drop her here before I go... Let's see how true the story was" Dax said, scrolling through his phone.

"I really want to see a Hollywood blockbuster" Ray said and they both chucked.

I nervously glanced at my time and looked outside to see any trace of car coming towards the fashion house but I couldn't,I was really tempted to call that son of a bitçh but I kept my cool.

The door opened, finally! but she came alone staggering,looking weak and exhausted with dusty legs and she fell.

We all rushed with speed to meet her. She was mumbling some incoherent words.

"Sanctify,are you okay? Where's Kyle?" I asked but her mouth kept moving without any voice.

"Oh shit!! She needs water!! Water Oliver!! "Ray crouched to the ground breathlessly and I rushed to the dispenser to fetch it.

Before I came back,she passed out.
