Chapter 3: Decision

The moment his lips touched mine, something snapped. What started as a subtle kiss… quickly turned into something far more dangerous.

He pinned me against the wall deepening the kiss, my hands were all over his chest. As he trailed kisses to my neck, I was already unbuttoning his shirt.

He suddenly pulled away, both of us breathing loudly. I blinked rapidly, regaining my sense of reasoning and fighting the urge to kiss him again.

My eyes still lingered on his lips. And he smirked.

“Don't be in haste. Once your heart is mine we will have all the time in the world for that,” He said with a sly smile.

My cheeks flushed with embarrassment, I pushed him away and hurried out of his presence, I could hear a small chuckle erupt from him and it added to my embarrassment.

My eyes were wide open, unable to sleep even after returning home, all I could think of was that kiss. And I couldn't help but wonder if it affected Alpha Draxen as it did to me.

I glanced at my phone, it shouldn't be difficult for him to get my number even if I didn't give him.

Though he didn't ask for it.

“Get him off your mind,” I groaned and put a pillow over my head.

At the usual time, I went to the club again, my eyes scanning everywhere as I moved.

I mean, since he didn't call me at least he should be around waiting to see me.

Instead of seeing him, I noticed the stares I was getting from other workers. I rolled my eyes and entered the makeup room, to get ready for the night.

Today I wore green lingerie, which had a little more coverage than last night's red lingerie.

I walked onto the stage with a smile as the whole crowd cheered.

Among the crowd, I spotted Alpha Draxen. It was easy to spot him because no one dared come close to the area where he stood.

My smile widened and the music started, I put in more effort than usual, and I even danced on a pole.

He simply watched keenly, I made some provocative movements to enrage him but he stood calmly.

After I was done dancing, I went backstage expecting him. I was ready to discourage him from taking me as his mate. Although I spent the whole day thinking of him, I couldn't allow myself to be immersed with this Alpha.

Especially with the thought that strippers can't be loved.

As soon as I noticed the other strippers leaving the makeup room, I knew he had come.

“Can you see? I won't stop dancing even if I become your mate,” I said as I turned to face him.

His face was expressionless then it softened, “As long as that's what you want, no one will dare stop you,” His voice was stern.

“I’ll dance like this in your pack. Your betas will watch me… react to me. Can you handle that?” I walked closer to him.

He gave a sly smile, “Do whatever you want—as long as you’re happy and by my side.”

His eyes gave that emotion again, the one I have been struggling to understand but now I could guess it….

It's…

“You love me?” I ask

“What do you think?”

My gaze softened.

“We will have training tomorrow, come have a glimpse of my life,” He said and left.

Elaris stepped in, a few minutes after he was gone.

“Alright, you are falling for him,” She said as she stepped in.

“No I'm not,” I brush it off.

“I didn't want to say anything but I notice you've been acting totally weird and also waiting for someone,” Elaris leaned on the makeup desk, “Now that you've seen him, you look like you're in a better mood,”

With a sigh, I said, “I accept I am attracted to him and maybe…. Just a tiny bit… I mean he isn't hard to like,”

Elaris smiled broadly, “I'm happy for you, so when are you going to take the next step,”

“He told me to watch them in training tomorrow,” I said with a smile.

“Oh…” Elaris shrugged, “If you accept, we go to his pack together, right?”

“Of course,”

“You know you are the only one I consider family, don't leave me behind,” She said, afraid that she would be left alone.

The next day as promised I went to watch them train, it is my first time going to the training yard though it is popular among girls, you get to see a lot of shirtless males and watch them fight each other with different weapons or in their werewolf form.

I joined the crowd which was filled with a lot of ladies who didn't seem pleased to see me, which I couldn't complain about. I dressed provocatively, with my cleavage showing. Though it's not as bad as when I dance, it was still seductive.

This was my last trial for Draxen, would he be able to make me his mate despite knowing I will always be this way?

“Seductress for a reason,” One said and rolled her eyes.

“She should have just stripped and done her dance here,” I could hear the jealousy and annoyance in their voices.

They stared at me and I winked at them with a smile.

Draxen walked into the field with Alpha Dominic. Having the aura that scares people, his facial expression is stern as always.

“Draxen!” I yelled from the crowd and waved with a smile.

All the ladies stared at me with surprise, some gasped and made comments like I'm about to get killed.

Draxen's eyes met mine and he gave a slight smile.

My heart beamed with joy, I flipped my long red hair and flashed an alluring smile to the ladies, then I winked.

The girls scoffed and some stood up and left in annoyance.

With Draxen by my side, moving from this pack to a different one, won't be so bad.

In a few minutes, a beta guard came to escort me to meet Draxen. As the eyes of the crowd were on me, I deliberately swayed my hips.

Yeah, I love the attention, don't everyone?

As we left the crowd, we passed through a wide passageway where I crossed paths with Alpha Dominic on the way.

“Alpha Draxen is on his way,” he waved at the beta to leave.

He took a step forward, moving away from the guards that were behind him.

“Zafira, you are a special person to this pack,” he said in a low voice and held my hand, “I don't wish to interfere with whatever is going on between you and Alpha Draxen, but he is a scary man….” Alpha Dominic came closer as though afraid someone might hear him.

“At least in the pack, you can continue your life and I will make sure Aeson doesn't come near you,” He whispered.

“There will be no need for that,” I said.

Yeah, I have made up my mind.

Alpha Dominic stepped back a bit, understanding what I meant, “But everything may not be as it seems, do you trust him?” He asked.

My eyes caught his figure as he approached us, his golden silky short hair moved with the wind, and he held a stern expression that softened when he saw me.

Alpha Dominic followed my gaze.

This was reckless.Dangerous.But for the first time… I wanted something that I considered bigger than me.

“Yes, and I am willing to take any risk that comes with it,” I declared.

Unknown to me, the simple decision I just made, was going to send my life into havoc. And one that I won't be able to come out of.
