Returning to Motherland

"DEATH," the emotionless voice of Susan rang out as she made a slashing motion.

"I mean we...we kill her, mom. The dead tell no tales. It's only when she is dead, we can breathe comfortably," Susan finished the sentence off.

"That Olly is a bomb, you never know when it will explode right at your face and she is also incredibly sick in the head.”

"I will make the arrangements, so that Olly will be dead before...who is there?" Vera caught sight of a running shadow which passed by.

"That's Olly, I think she heard, quickly mom, call in the assassins to come and kill the bastard," Susan's face paled as she stood up quickly.

Olly only knew her feet were just moving but where she was going she didn't know, her entire course was just to avoid the danger right in front of her. The dark tunnel she entered was muddy and wet with a bad stench but she had no time to think about that.

"Susan is trying to kill me to protect her secret, she is a devil in disguise," Olly bit her lips till it bled, she regretted turning her back on Alexa.

"I am not going down without a …”

“BAM," A gunshot sounded as Olly was taken out by a sniper.

"If I could go back, will I still betray Alexa for Susan?" Olly strangely thought of Alexa during the final moments of her life but she couldn't even answer her question before she dropped dead.

(Two years later)

"Alexa Sanders," Darwin muttered, as he gazed at the information on the paper. His eyes were drawn to the confident woman in the picture.

"Why? Why are you affecting me in this manner?" Darwin asked.

Darwin Forbes, the mysterious richest man in the city and a formidable man, who could shake the business works with a stomp of his feet, was now dazed by the picture of the girl from two years ago. After the night at the hotel, Darwin began a furious search for Alexa only to find out that she might be in the warring Jade Nation.

"Alexa, oh Alexa, the next time we meet, you won't leave again. You won't run from me even if you want to," Darwin smiled at the picture.

The news of Susan's sickness had already swept through the internet making the media buzz with so much noise.

"Miss Susan, we wish you a safe recovery, we will always stand by you."

"All these are the faults of that smelly Alexa from two years ago, if she didn't do all those evil things, how could snow white have a heart issue?"

"Hello, what the hell is that supposed to mean? I hate Alexa for what she did but that was two years ago, how can you still involve her in this matter, are you being a little shameless?"

Discussions like this overtook the net as netizens and fans were shocked at the news in front of them.

Susan Sanders, the widely acclaimed snow white due to her fairy like character in the entertainment industry and her gentle temperament got diagnosed with a heart disease that might require surgery to get rid off.

The entire internet was in uproar as her crazy fans all dragged Alexa from two years into the mess and scolded her but some reasonable netizens argued the accusation resulting in the current situation.

"Smash!" Susan angrily smacked her phone against the wall.

"All are bunch of fools, they call themselves my fans and they can't even do this simple thing?" Susan's face distorted like that of a devil.

Anyone who saw Susan’s face would probably not even link her to the gentle Susan Sanders but rather a market shrew.

"Susan, this is a hospital, even though we are in a private ward, control yourself lest someone sees you," Vera frowned at Susan's outburst.

"Mom, we need Alexa to come back, I can't die, I won't die, I... I refuse to die," Susan screamed as tears poured down her eyes.

After exiling Alexa, she thought her life would be filled with joy but just as she got a taste of sweetness, her happy marriage, wealth and a high status in the entertainment industry, the bitter side of life came.

"Susan, stop over exaggerating, you can be cured if we do the surgery and your condition isn't even serious as you made it to be, it is just a normal issue. Must you really scare your dad and I like that?" Vera gazed at her daughter with annoyance as she remembered the doctor's report being different from Susan's exaggerated report.

"Mom, lately I have been feeling scared, that bitch is not dead after all this while? We can't afford to leave her there, what if she gains an ally? I must keep her close and eliminate her once and for all.”

She sighed and then continued, "So this sickness is actually a good thing because if dad believes that I am really in need of Alexa's heart, he will get her back here.” Susan smiled coldly.

"Alexa, this time I will make you die right in front of me!" Susan decided once and for all unaware that this will turn out to be her greatest mistake of all time.

In a green grassland that stretched far beyond the scope of the eye stood a beautiful woman as she gazed with gusto. The entire scenery exuded warmth and was harmonious but all that got ruined by a piercing scream as a black shadow rustled past.

"Alexa!!!!! A Message for you," Mary breathed deeply as she handed a piece of paper to Alexa.

Her face showed joy as she looked at Alexa, after all this was the first time Alexa ever got a message from home. But contrary to her expectations, Alexa looked at the letter coldly before she let out a sneer.

"Why? What kind of reaction is that?" Mary frowned as she snatched the letter to read but her face distorted quickly.

Alexa paced back and forth with lots of thoughts running through her mind.

"What's this? Is this an order for a servant? You.. how did you come here in the first place?" Mary frowned as she looked at the letter.

From the moment Mary's military team found Alexa unconscious, everyone subconsciously thought maybe she was trafficked and that her family would be anxious for her, which was why Mary was so excited to get news for Alexa but now, she wasn't sure anymore.

Alexa smiled as she calmly told Mary everything, her voice was so lukewarm without any anger or joy as if she was talking about the lunch she just had.

"Bunch of bastards, all of them especially your father and that boyfriend of yours, the fox." Mary cussed out furiously as she wished to bag Jack and beat him furiously with a stick.

“I think it's time.” Alexa said as she finally stood on a spot.

"You listen to me baby girl, don't go there. Honouring their invitation would let them have the last laugh. This is obviously a trap, who knows what they will plan.”

"You are part of the force and the delegation team, I believe everyone will not toss you out, you are our person and even the boss will protect you, right, Jeremy?” Mary uttered the sentence a little loudly as she looked behind Alexa.

"Boss?" Alexa turned around in surprise.
