Chapter 103

J's pov.

I jolted upright with a start, my heart pounding on my chest and against my rib cage. My forehead was covered with beads of sweat as a searing headache washed over me.

"Arrgh!" A low groan escaped my lips as I instinctively clutched my head in agony, feeling my face drained of blood, becoming pale.

Fuck!

The pain made me lose focus for more than one minute. With my back arched, I grabbed the sheets tightly.

What the hell was wrong with me?

Was it a hangover? But still, the pain was not supposed to be this much, right?

I gritted my teeth as my body shook with the torment. After some minutes, when I felt like I was about to be wrecked by the pain, it drained out of my body.

A sigh of relief escaped my lips and I panted. A metallic taste of iron suddenly filled my mouth and I felt a stinging pain on my lips. I seemed to have bit myself, unknowingly.
