My face hid all form of surprise when I stared up at Dale, his expression plain, not having even the slightest hint of falsehood there.

Tyler, however, looked stunned. Something that was evident in his continuous blinking.

“I-I didn't—?” He stared at me as though to confirm if it was true.

And of course, I wasn't going to lie.

I could sort things out myself with a man's help.

“As I've not bothered hiding, I don't have even the slightest hint of attraction towards you, so it'd be best if you just walk away now rather than waste further precious time on what will end up fruitless.”

He blinked, looking even more surprised by my bluntness. “Oh-Oh, I'm sorry. I-I didn't realize you had someone.”

It almost left a chortle from me, but for some reason, I didn't see myself correcting him.

Maybe because I couldn't care less what he thought.

“But can I at least—?”

Dale's slight warning groan made Tyler stop mid sentence.

While for me, as Dale's grip around my waist tightened slightly, I had to

“What are you doing here?” My tone didn't bother with any form of familiarity, not hiding the fact his presence gave me no bit of gladness.“Why didn't you answer my calls?” He went straightforward, heading towards me whose arms were already crossed over my chest.“I didn't feel like it.” The answer was simple, but through the night light, I could see the frown on his face.“Listen, we need to talk.”“No, we don't need to talk one bit.” My tone was calm, composed and professional, earning a tightened jaw from him.He stepped forward, but I raised a hand, stopping him from coming any further.“Listen, I have no idea why you're here and truthfully, I don't think I can give a fuck to care, but my car's tyre is flat. Do you have a spare one to borrow? If yes, then give it, I'll compensate you nicely for that. If not, you should be getting yourself out of here.”He blinked, most certainly surprised by my bluntness. “What?”“What I said.” I shrugged, liking how I was keeping us on professio

I woke up the next morning with not a single trace of annoyance. He wasn't worth it.Nor was he worth my attention. The first thing I did was contact Kanyin, instructing her to let everyone know I will be foreseeing the project alone starting that day.No one must object that.I ensured to look nice in a dark blue top with gray baggy jeans, then packed my hair up in a bun.One that defined not only business likeness, but the power I had.Something I'd let Dale diminish for just a moment. But not anymore. After giving Donald a good morning kiss and having a small breakfast, I grabbed the key to one of my cars, not bothering to get a driver and instead entered the driver's seat. The car started with a roar, giving off the familiarity of a car its worth. Then I was off, heading straight to my company.Thirty minutes later, the car came to a halt in front of the place.A guard sauntered over, opening the car's door with a bow.“Park it.” I tossed it his way and didn't even need to turn to

Dale had maintained the cold attitude till he was off, confusing me slightly. What the heck was that about? What on earth was wrong with him.I didn't get to think much about it as the work load began, taking most of my thoughts. Then I was in a business class plane back home, glad at the thought of finally being able to stay at my place after so long.To my surprise, when the plane landed hours later, Cole and Emery, who had Donald with her, were already waiting, their smiles wide and welcoming enough to pull a small one up my lips.“Mummy!” Donald rushed over, arms spread wide, so I lifted him up, his legs and hands wrapping around me.“How are you hon?” I greeted, brushing a kiss on his forehead.“Am fine.” His sweet voice replied, only increasing my smile. Then I greeted Emery and Cole who both had questions to ask, like ‘how was the trip? how was the country? how was the hotel?’ and many more. Most questions I succeeded in answering correctly, but the only one I found myself lyi

Throughout the day, all my mind chose to drift to was Dale. The feel of his thickness. Smoothness of his dick. Perfection of the head, and how damn nice this all had felt on my hand. With all that clouding my thoughts, it was hard to concentrate.Something I tried (in vain) to do.Thinking about how it'd felt when he was in me, sent this unexpected bolt of dopamine at the thought of getting back to the hotel to continue from where we stopped.Which was why once the clock read seven and I knew it wouldn't be too early to dismiss everyone, I did just that, heading to my car, whose door was opened by a guard and closed once I was settled at the back passenger seat. The entire journey back to the hotel had felt longer than it probably should. But soon, it came to a halt in front of the hotel. When I got out, it surprised me how much excitement bubbled in me at the thought of whatever might happen. Why I was feeling that way was something to discuss another day.It was probably best to jus

Slowly, with breath hitched, I turned, the color most likely leaving my skin.“Wh-What do you mean?” The words barely came out, revealing the struggle it took for me to form anything.Internally, I trembled.Hopefully it was only internally.Sam glanced at everyone else around, before rising to his feet. “Let's go somewhere more private.” When he started moving, my legs followed, though I wasn't sure, till this day, how they managed to move.Soon we were out and in front of where his car was parked.“What do you mean?” I repeated, ignoring how shaky it came out.“I don't have the right evidence to prove this now, but I'm sure the child is mine. He just has to be.” Sam had his forehead scrunched as he spoke. “This isn't something I'm most certain of, but that child might be mine. In fact, I would think so.”A wave of relief washed over me as I realized he wasn't speaking out of certainty.Just an assumption.Oh thank God. When I spoke, it was with a little more composure, “what rubbi
