Episode 9

The sun shone brightly in the sky, casting a warm glow over the forest. The leaves rustled gently in the breeze, and birds chirped merrily in the trees. Lord Zack lay on his bed, his breathing shallow and labored. His son, Frederick, stood by his side, tears streaming down his face.

“Father,” Frederick said, his voice choked with emotion. “Please don’t leave me.”

Even he knew that was a waste of a request. Death was knocking so hard on the alpha's door, and it was going back until its host answered the door. Not in his wildest dream did he imagine that lord Zack, the almighty lord Zack, one who has never known the taste of defeat, would lay before death, incapable of fighting back, or barking out the 'attack' order. To think that it was 'just an ordinary brain tumor,' as the alpha had dismissively put it, was all the more overwhelming. The same alpha who had wholesomely defeated all that stood in his way couldn't even raise his fist against an 'ordinary disease.'
