Chapter 33

Freya

A big, dark gray wolf had jumped into the vehicle, smashing the front mirror. I shouted and shielded my face with both hands as sharp shards of glass shot into the van.

The car went out of control and collided with a tree. Soon, the horn of the vehicle went off.

My face twisted in pain as I uncovered it with my hands.

"Are you okay?" Jurius said next to me

My attention steadily went to him, and I saw he was injured.

"Jurius, you're bleeding," I told him fearfully.

He inspected his wound by touching it.

"I'll be fine," he assured me, his face contorted in misery.

I then noticed that his injury was gradually fading as he healed.

"I need to get you to safety now," Jurius said as he exited and opened the door of his car. I unbuckled my seat belt as he did.

Jurius opened my door and assisted me in getting out of the car. I was gripped by panic as we stood in the dark. Jurius sensed I was, and he grasped one of my hands into his, holding it.
