Chapter 36: Reputation Over Attraction
I knew who I wanted to go with, but I didn't understand why these people suddenly offered to give me a lift. I could take a bus instead, so I wouldn't be pressured to decide.
When I darted my eyes to Miguel, he was staring back and forth to Daniel and me as if confused. His eyebrows were raised, and his lips were drawn to a thin line. Then Kourtney and I exchanged looks, but she just wiggled her eyebrows convincingly. I knew she wanted me to hop in Daniel's Harley, and I detested being close to him.
Heaving a sigh of frustration, my feet led me closer to his motorcycle. I took a glance at Kourtney and back at Miguel who seemed disappointed. I gave him a half-smile, hating my sudden decision.
"Yo Kourtney, aren't we gonna leave yet?" Emma called out, shaking all of us from the utter silence.
"We all should probably head home," Kourtney said with finality. "See you tomorrow." She tugged her lips into a smirk
