Chapter 37: Confession

When I unlocked my apartment's door with Daniel clinging his arm around my shoulder. I quickly went inside and walked towards the couch of my small living room. I plopped him on the loveseat couch, making him wince in pain.

He managed to sit upright, leaning his aching back against the couch. He threw his head back and shut his eyes close to relieve the pain. His cheeks were swollen, and blood continued to fall from the wound beside his eye. His firm arms were bruised, some scratches slightly cut his flesh as redness peeked through the open wound. His white uniform top was stained with blood, and there were few missing buttons at the top of his button-up shirt.
