Chapter 35: The Game
"Dude, where's Lindsey?" Mason asked curiously, his eyes were fixated to Kourtney.
"Why are you asking me that?" Daniel irritatedly responded.
So I was guessing, Lindsey was supposed to be in the volleyball team, and then Kourtney sabotaged that. How predictable.
"Kourtney said that his pretty little sister went out with Nicholas because he's leaving tomorrow," Emma spoke, her gaze still glued to her phone as she scrolled down with her thumb. "And they need a back-up athlete because Lindsey bailed out the last minute." She rolled her eyes to us, sliding his phone inside her pocket. It seemed like Kourtney texted her the entire conflict.
Then the three of us looked at Daniel. His jaw tightened, his ocean-blue eyes showed nothing but void. It must be really tough for him to accept their breakup, especially when his ex-girlfriend cared more about Nick.

When I unlocked my apartment's door with Daniel clinging his arm around my shoulder. I quickly went inside and walked towards the couch of my small living room.
