Kourtney scoffed before she sat at the edge of the tub while biting down her bottom lip.
"I told you that you don't know Nicholas," she said, a mischievous smirk tugged on her lips.
"What does Nick has to do with it?" I asked again, shifting from my seat.
I heard my heart rapidly beating, and random speculations started swirling in my head. I was afraid of what could be the reason behind it.
"Let's just say that I pushed his buttons, and he was the one who told me about you."
I caught a lump in my throat after what Kourtney said, and I felt my stomach tied a knot. I tried to hide the sudden anxiousness as I gulped in disbelief.
