Chapter 64

“We need to get out of here. Plan B of the escape. I’m sure by now we are surrounded.” Jake said.

Everyone made their way to a hatch at the end of the hallway into the floor. Jake went first and then Sonya was lowered in. Everyone else followed. Jake led the way through the tunnel followed closely by Sonya then Greg and Jim then the warriors.

“How long is this tunnel?” Sonya whispered.

“50 miles. There are split offs throughout the tunnel but only certain people can see and access it so we shouldn’t see anyone but we still need to take precautions.” Jake whispered back.

After they had been walking for about an hour, Sonya started hearing noises ahead. She pulled on Jake’s hand to stop him and pointed to her ear so he knew what was going on without her saying anything. Everyone hurried into a room along the tunnel.

Jake hid Sonya and stood over her to protect her. Greg and Jim on either side and the warriors around the group.
