LOGINSorry for the delay!🥹❤️
Romeo's phone lit up as it started ringing, Giovanni displayed on the screen, indicating who was calling. Without thinking twice, Romeo picked up the phone and flipped it face down on the table top. "Answer it, it could be important." Cara said to him. He shook his head. "Probably a work call, I'll call him back. Besides, nothing is more important than this." Cara sighed and didn't push further. Jessica sat down still yet impatient, waiting for them to finish their silent conversation so she could speak. As their eyes turned towards her direction, she spat out immediately. "What do you mean by what you said? I'm not safe? Explain to me again. How do you know this?" Cara let out a soft sigh. "I can't believe what I'm about to say but calm down Jessica, we're here and you can't be hurt as long as you're with us. We'll protect you."Jessica let out a panicked laugh. "Are you fucking with me right now? Protect me? I'm your arch nemesis! Don't even try to pretend to be nice to me. J
Giovanni tapped the screen of his phone to live, a finger hovering over a particular number. But then at the last minute, he flipped the phone over on his table, letting out a sigh. He had been doing this for a while now. He just couldn't make up his mind. "Should I call her or not? Is she still mad at me for leaving? What can I do to make it up to her? Why hasn't she reached out to me if she still cared?" All those questions poured out of him one after the other. There were many more but he decided to swallow them instead. He picked up his phone yet again, asking himself if he should just make the call. But the screen of his phone lit up just then and it was an unknown number. He stared at it confusedly for a second before deciding to pick up. "Hello?" "Hello? Am I speaking to Giovanni?" A feminine voice said from the other end of the phone. He could have sworn he recognized the voice, but then again it was still unfamiliar. "Yes, sorry, who is this? I don't have your number
Cara paced around in the living room, chewing tirelessly on her finger. "Hey baby, let's calm down." Romeo said softly, not physically stopping her pacing moment but also not being able to stand and do nothing. "Nobody is telling me what's going on and you don't want me to leave." Jessica said furiously. "If nobody talks, I'm walking out that door and if you refuse, I'm calling the cops because this is kidnapping.""Please calm down." Romeo's tone was soft. "Just..." He sighed softly, "give her a moment." Jessica smiled and nodded her head. Romeo was so gentle, for a moment, she had actually forgotten that so much more glowed about him apart from his emerald magical eyes. His personality was a gem itself. Always so gentle with women, even her that she knew he hated her guts. She remembered the way he stood up for her the day Chris had hit her publicly. The way he protected her like she actually mattered to him. It was enough to guess the kind of personality he had and one thing
Cara stared at the woman sitting before her, her words echoed in her ear once again, she wanted to move back to the city. Her brow twitched softly. "Okay? Why did you think I would need to know that?""Because..." She sighed softly. "Because Cara, you were the one who helped me out of the city. You gave me a place to live, you kept me and my son alive. I owe it to you to let you know when I'm going to be back in the city."Cara felt a little touched by those words. She scoffed. "So the great Jessica Knowles knows how to be grateful. That's a first.""It's not." Jessica said almost immediately. "I've been grateful to you since the day you picked up my call and accepted to help me escape. I was grateful to you all those times I was in that town, I was grateful to you for the good people I met over there. "I owe it all to you and I am not blinded by my ego to know that. I just don't think my son and I belong there, we belong in the city, where we once were thriving, I want a good life
Cara's brow shot up almost immediately as she heard those words leave her husband's lips. "What?" She asked, knowing well that she had heard him correctly but didn't believe she had heard him correctly. "What did you just say? Who's here?" She asked again. Romeo let out a soft sigh. "I can ask the security to turn her away if you don't want to see her, I know that it must be too hard for you at this moment--""No no," Cara said, cutting him off. "She came all the way, let's hear her out. But just be on stand by in case she tries anything stupid. Please. We still don't know who hired an assassin to hurt our child." "Of course." Romeo stepped forward towards her immediately and wrapped his arms around her. "I'm going to protect you with all that I have and I will never look away from you for one second." His voice was soft and tender. He reached up to her face, tucked a strand of loose hair behind her ear, and cupped her cheeks. Cara felt so warm and a little bit calmer inside. Tha
Cara had spent the whole day being productive. She slept, woke up, ate, and slept. Very much productive to her. Romeo was meant to be on a business trip for one month, so he had that month to stay at home, work free, and do what he loved doing best. Taking care of his family. The night was still very much young, but Alice had already fallen asleep-- thanks to Romeo keeping her well fed and clean all day-- dinner had been made, and everything was in place. After dinner, she sat in the living room, head on her husband's shoulder, and snacked on some popcorn while enjoying the movie they were watching. "Is the movie good?" Romeo asked her. She nodded her head. "Yeah, I love it.""I don't understand it." He confessed. She raised her head to meet his gaze and a soft laugh escaped her mouth. "What?" "I don't." "How do you not understand it? You're Romeo Armani! You understand everything. You're a perfect human being." She asked, still laughing. "Oh that is a total lie, definitely
Cara stared at her phone, beyond confused. Who could ever do such a thing to her? Why would someone write something so disturbingly annoying about her? What even made her more disheartened more was that it all sounded so true. Whoever wrote it fixed the pieces where they were not built for but mad
Cara woke up with a soft yawn, stretching her arms tiredly. She felt like she needed more sleep, probably the whole day would suffice, but tomorrow was her wedding and she planned to put Chris in his place once and for all today. As expected, Romeo was already up. She was no longer surprised by ho
"Cara Smith, once Cara Knowles, now planning to become Cara Armani. What kind of woman is she? A gold digging b*tch!"Cara Smith grew up in a struggling family whose only asset was a company that could crumble at any moment. The Smith family could not carry their own bills, talk less of paying thei
Romeo felt like he was on a vacation, it had been a while since he got the chance to relax like that. Of course he had to tend to emergency calls from work but apart from that, he felt so loved and welcomed by Cara's entire family. But alas, it came to an end. Just as everything in life does. But
