"For the longest time, I believed he was the devil who visited me in the night," Ara told Sera, her lips curved into a gentle smile. Those days. She was way too stupid to catch his interest. And yet she did.

"Really!" Sera said, a laughter bubbling up her throat. This was easily the funniest story she had ever heard. "And he never corrected you?" she said, her voice still trembling with laughter.

"Why would he? He was having way too much fun with it," Ara mock accused, rolling her eyes.

"Who was having fun with what?" Gigi interrupted as she plopped down on the couch next to her mother.

"I was telling her about the devil story," Ara told Gigi. Gigi grinned. They all had heard about it from Aunt Jenna.

"She literally recited chants to shoo him off," Gigi revealed further. Sera couldn't contain her laughter. "Yep. That's my mom," she added, amused.

"I am sorry. But......You had quite a vivid imagination," Sera remarked, not able to stop laughing.

Just then, Killian walked in, and

  • His Innocent Sera   Apology Accepted

Nate walked into the dark room. "Princess," he called softly to her silhouette in the bed. A pillow flew at his face in reply, smacking him before dropping to the floor."Go away," she snapped, words brittle with anger and hurt. Nate exhaled a sigh, bent, and picked up the pillow. "I didn't mean to hurt you, princess," he said sincerely as he approached her. "One more step and I swear, I'll hit you with the vase," Sera warned him. "Straight to domestic violence now?" he teased, moving closer. "I guess I can take a few hits..... but don't let anyone outside know. My reputation will never recover if they did." Sera pursed her lips, fighting the urge to smile at his stupid remark. She refused to melt that easily and reminded herself, firmly, why she was angry with him in the first place."Leave or I am leaving," she said, her tone cold and clipped. "Nobody's leaving. We are going to talk," he asserted gently. At that, Sera rose to her feet and headed for the door. But Nate caught

  • His Innocent Sera   When She Is Mad AT Him

Blood dripped down his hands in thick streams as he washed them, the water turning crimson before swirling down the drain. Somewhere along the way, because his focus had shifted to his wife, a few stupid fuckers had decided he was no longer watching. That loving her had dulled his edge. That they could cheat him and walk away breathing. He had softened, yes, but only for his woman. For the rest of the world, he was still the same callous mafia lord who knew no mercy. "You didn't have to come. I would have taken care of it," Dave said as he watched him washing his hands. "You could have," Nate said evenly. "But they had crossed me. And when that happens.... the world needs to witness the consequences." He had set an example so gruesome it would haunt his enemies until their final breath. After taking a quick shower in his office, as Sera’s sense of smell had grown remarkably strong since her pregnancy, he finally set out for home. On his way home, he stopped by a floral shop and bou

Gigi reached the restaurant in about twenty minutes. But instead of heading inside, she stayed in her car and dug through her bag for every makeup product she needed for her makeover. And because those mafia lords always seemed to love a woman with color, she pulled out a multicolored wig and slipped it on. After that, she caked her face with a foundation two shades lighter. Bright green eyeshadow smeared messily across her lids so he would see her as a green flag, obviously. A furious red blush dominated her cheeks, the kind of shade that screamed "bold and sexy." Her purple eyeliner was uneven to make her stand out amongst the crowd. For the finishing touch, she chose a deep black lipstick to assert her dark, feminine energy. Her gaze lifted to the mirror, and when she caught sight of herself, she smirked. "Perfect." And lastly, she threw a neon t-shirt over and ditched her denims for a pair of blinding orange pants. Before getting out, she decided to check if he had already reach

Shaun took the others out to explore the city, while Sera stayed back. She doubted she could manage a long ride. The mere thought of sitting for too long in the car made her stomach queasy. It was best she stayed home. But now that everyone was out, a silence had settled over the place. The house was so lively and buzzing just a few hours ago. The weather was especially pleasant today, stirring an urge in her to paint. She grabbed her stuff, went to the balcony, and began to paint. The orange streaks melting into the blue of the sky, a swarm of birds heading towards the horizon, while the sun sank gently behind the giant oak tree. Rosy lay cozily at her feet as she swept her brush across the blank canvas, enlivening it with color. Most of her life had unfolded in shades of monochrome, yet she had always adored colors. On canvas or in life, it was the hues that gave everything its soul. "How do you like it, Rosy?" she asked, mid-stroke. Rosy lifted her head, uttered a soft meow, and

  • His Innocent Sera   Marriages On The Card

"I think Gloria is planning something," Ginger revealed to Nate. She had come to see him in his study, where they could have a private talk. Nate's gaze turned alert as he asked, "How do you know?" "She approached me on my way to the airport. She looked desperate," Ginger recounted to him. Over the years, she had learned one fact that desperate people were just as dangerous as fools. "I'll kill her this time if she tries anything funny," Nate stated, his jaw firmly set in determination. If she even so much hovered around Sera, he would rip the life force out of her. "You should be more careful," Ginger advised. Nate nodded. Ginger then stood up and left, leaving him with his thoughts. .............They were having lunch when Ginger asked casually, "So, when are you two getting married?" Whereas Sera nearly choked on the food, Nate looked a bit thrown aback by the sudden question. Ginger waited, expecting an answer. As she looked at them, realisation dawned on her features.
