As the star crossed the sky, Sera closed her eyes and whispered a quiet prayer. She wished for her brother's well-being.

"Of course, you believe in praying to stars. So predictable," Nate remarked, leaning against the doorframe, hands in pockets, eyes soft with amusement. Sera's gaze lingered on him briefly before drifting back towards the inked sky.

He pushed off the frame with ease and strolled inside. Sera stiffened, casting a wary glance at him from the corner of her eye as he came to stand beside her.

He looked up into the sky and asked, "You really think those flaming rocks are magical?" His voice held curiosity, no mockery. For a moment, she said nothing

"I believe the universe listens," she said softly, eyes on one twinkling star. "Not to the word, but the intent and energy behind them." Maybe falling stars weren't magical, but just a reminder to put it all out and trust that the universe is listening.

as wrong as it is on the ml part, the other women enter in the mess knowing all, like gloria did, neither it's like they are honestly committed to ml, they have their own life and affairs, so no wrong to them but to the innocent fl.

"Just get over with it,' Sera answered pointedly. Nate opened his eyes and looked at her through the mirror. Her stoic face and empty eyes told him something was amiss. He took a step away. "What happened?" he asked, his brows knitting together. In response, Sera turned around, causing his hands to drop to his sides, and looked into his eyes. "How would you like my body to be served? In the bed, on the balcony, or against the wall?" she asked without a falter in her voice. Resentment deepened in her eyes as she continued, "But let me make one thing very clear. You can only have my body, not my heart or soul. I hate you and I'll keep hating you until my last breath." Sera spat, looking at him as if he were the filthiest speck of dirt she had ever seen. His features darkened. "You'll watch your tone with me, Sera," he warned her, barely holding back his anger. "I've never hated anyone as much as I hate you. Not even my biological father. Hatred is the first thing I feel when I see

  • His Innocent Sera   Armando

"Stop, Luna. Where are you going?" Sera ran after the feisty little furball. She was the naughtiest of the bunch, always keeping her on her toes. And the sight of the vet poking her siblings with needles had sent her into full rebellion mode today. With a soft mewl, the kitten hopped down the chair and zipped out of the room. Since then, Sera had been hot on her heels, the kitten leading her on a full mansion tour. The servants tried to catch the kitten, too, only to fail. The kitten ran down the corridor and slipped through an open door. Sera followed after her, stepping into the gym. But the crafty little thing had already ducked behind a machine, disappearing from view. Sera let out a sigh and strolled further inside, searching for her. She finally spotted Luna hiding behind a machine at the room's far end. Smiling, she padded across the floor, careful not to make noise. "Finally," she breathed, gently coaxing her out and lifting her up. The kitten gave her an annoyed look. "I

"Your doubts were not baseless. Romeo seems to be engaged in some shady business," Dave told him. Nate wasn't surprised, he already knew that. Romeo was pulling off something sketchy in the shadows. "Any intel?" Nate questioned. His men were already on the ground, digging deeper. It might or might not concern him, but he preferred to be a know-it-all rather than an ignorant fool. "In the last month, about 350 deaths occurred in the hospital he owns. Interestingly, about 300 of them were beggars, orphans, basically without family. And they all died of cardiac arrest. All of them," Dave pointed out, emphasizing the last part. Nate leaned back in his chair, a pensive shadow crossing his face. The piece of information was indeed something to chew on. No beggar or orphan can afford treatment in a hospital that charges exorbitantly, nor was Romeo a do-gooder, so it was clear they were brought into the hospital. Probably dead. The victims were all without kin, which means Romeo didn'

  • His Innocent Sera   An Empty Space

As he kissed her like there was no tomorrow, he felt a tugging at the bottom of his trousers. He ignored it at first, but when it didn't stop, he broke the kiss and looked down. A scowl plastered across his face as he found some kittens latched onto his pants like it was a climbing wall. "What the fuck?" he murmured. The man shook his leg, sending the kittens sprawling to the floor. They mewed in unison before scrambling to their feet and scurrying towards Sera. She crouched and gently gathered them close, stroking their fur with gentle fingers. Nate's frown deepened. "Put them down. They are filthy and probably riddled with diseases," Nate said, frowning. She glanced up at him with unconcealed disapproval and revealed, "They are Snow's." The piece of information visibly took Nate aback. His brows drew together. "Snow's?" he repeated, sounding confused. He couldn't recall a single moment of her being pregnant. When did this even happen? He was a granddad, and he didn't even know.

Perched on the balcony, she watched flocks of birds emerging from the woods and soaring into the sky. A soft mewl snatched her attention. Puzzled, she turned her head only to find a cute cat standing in the doorway crack, shifting on her paws either in nervousness or excitement. Sera recognised her immediately. "Snowey," Sera exclaimed, half in surprise, half in joy. A grin spread across her face as she opened her arms. The cat needed only that to leap forward and land straight in her lap. Sera giggled at her nervousness. "Look at you. You are all grown-up now," Sera cooed before lifting and kissing her face. Her eyes moistened as tender emotions overwhelmed her fragile heart. "I am sorry. I left you..Mamma is so selfish," she whispered, tears sliding down her cheeks. The guilt of leaving her behind was always there. Snowy stuck out her tongue and licked the tears from her face. Sera smiled, touched by her gesture. Her Snow White had grown into a gentle soul. She threw her head
