Lucifer teleported us back to my bedroom at my aunts house. I threw myself on the bed, throwing an arm over my eyes. What a night...and it’s not over yet.

“So...” Lucifer started and I knew what his first question would be. “My Queen, how did you come by a Daylight ring?”

Having possession of a Daylight ring pretty much put a bullseye on your back if you weren’t a vampire, so I know he’s a bit irritated by the fact I had one in my possession and didn’t tell him about it. I felt the bed dip down as Lucifer sat down beside me. “I sort of...made it.”

“You made a Daylight ring?” Lucifer asked incredulously, right before chewing my ass out. “Do you know how bloody dangerous that is? You could have been killed!”

I lifted my arm off my eyes and put my hand up for him to stop. “Unruffle your feathers there, Satan. I didn’t make it recently. In fact, I don’t plan on making one ever again!”
