Parker’s POV

Growing up, I have always looked up to my big brother. He has always been there for me and I will always be there for him. I stood by his side when they were insulting Lottie and tried to tell him who his mate should be. I couldn’t have been prouder of him as he told them in no uncertain terms that Lottie was his mate and he would rather reject his Alpha position than her.

I would do that for Dani in a heartbeat, and she is not even my mate yet.

They pushed him one last time and that is what he did. He renounced his Alpha role over the entire pack, their shocked faces, when he called their bluff. I saw them as the bond between them was destroyed. I didn’t feel it, I guess it is because we are brothers. I’m embarrassed by the way they are all behaving, considering they are grown adults. They thought he would bend and break when confronted by a crowd of them. They obviously don’t know him that well. Maybe another Alpha would have, but not Maddox.
