Lottie’s POV

The note Steff left for us at the diner said, ‘True Love is never lost, it can always be found, especially when there is a King around’. I am on my way to meet the King’s. Steff’s note must have been referring to Maddox, other elements of her note have come true. I know it. It has to be referring to him.

I was sick with excitement on the way to the palace and I mean physically sick. Adam got the brunt of it. I vomited straight on to his lap. It just kept coming.

Then Eden vomited because I was vomiting. He got some of that too. It was like a vomit fest in the back seat of the SUV. I apologized over and over again. I just couldn’t control it. When we pulled into the services, we all went and got freshened up. Adam should have stayed there longer because he stank.

A few hours later, we finally made it to the palace. I wanted to find the King’s immediately. But Eden said they were with her mom at the hospital, where she still works as a doctor.
