Willow POV We’d been here for over 2 weeks now and I was starting to lose my mind. Brett was really struggling with the lack of pack knowledge and I felt incredibly guilty that he was here with me and not with his pack. I had told him countless times to go and I would wait here. Orla POV I could sense the power binding Willow. It was of a coven strength. I knew exactly which coven. I had arrived here later than expected. I had been visiting my witchcraft links to strengthen alliances and gather information. She was younger than I expected and judging by her running, in a lover’s tiff. Lugh had done well with his protection spell…but judging by his face when Willow hit the barrier, he didn’t expect quite the reaction it caused. He seemed to care for this girl. Willow POVBrett argued with Orla for sometime but I could see it in Lugh’s facial expressions that she was right. After some time I convinced him that he had to leave. Willow POV It was the 20th December. Lugh and Orla had been with me pretty much all the time since Brett left. They had seen me in my wolf form everyday to read the markings to prepare the coven for the community spell. I had met the coven a number of times now. Lugh was right, they were such kind and welcoming people. They even showed me certain herbal teas to help for small health remedies. They had a large village cauldron that they used for group spells and they seemed excited to be using it again. A small group of children enjoyed playing with my wolf. I let them sit on my back and take them for small rides, like a donkey really. I joked to them that I would have to charge soon. Brett POVI was going mad with worry. I could feel Willow’s emotions through the bond and her pain just as we reached the field to meet Ashley. Orla had warned me of the pain I would feel through the bond but not to worry about Willow. I could already smell the rogues flanking Ashley’s men around the back. Did he think we were stupid. Willow POV I was running again…running like my life depended on it. I was in wolf form heading back to my family pack. Dread hit me when I smell a scent in the air of blood as I headed to that same field. By the time I reached it a war had broken out.
