5 days had passed since Thomas was taken from us. We laid him to rest at the pack graveyard where he would join his family. An only child with no descendants of his own, his family line had finished.

After waking up from the fire, I just remained in a state of shock. Everyone took it in turns to stay with me. Almost as if I would do something silly.

My wolf kept whispering to me.

“Another one…not another one.”

She felt disappointed with me for not saving him. I felt disappointed with myself.

After the bindings being lifted I thought I’d feel free and empowered. But it was short lived and I just felt sad and exhausted.
