Chapter 14
Octavia’s POV
After hearing about my uncle at the restaurant, everything was happening so quickly I was struggling to control my emotions and powers. Thank the goddess Elijah is here helping remain calm, though it’s not quite as effective as Troy.
For some reason just touching him calms me down. So, when we get back to the packhouse and witness the chaos, I slip my hand in to his and instantly feel better.
So weird but right now I’m not questioning it.
Mum tells Elijah to find Miranda ‘Mira’s namesake’ and to get me ready. I knew this was coming, Elijah mind linked me in the restaurant that she might need my powers as well to help.
I notice Troy tense at the mention of my name, and I signal him not to say anything, I don’t need my mother murdering him right now. When she is in her battle mode its best not to interrupt her, if you want to live that is.

Octavia’s POV I can tell Troy is a little uncomfortable and wants to give us space, but mum is right I do need him. After he picked me up, I started to feel better and so did Piper, I could feel my powers subsiding inside me which is a good thing because I have no idea what would have happened if I completely lost control instead of passing out. Which by the way was super humiliating, I don’t think I have ever passed out like that before. Octavia’s POV It feels weird waking up alone, I was just starting to get used to waking up next to Troy, though I didn’t actually get much sleep. I had a dream about my uncle, Ragnar, he came to me and told me there was a prophecy and that I must remain calm, and all will be revealed after my birthday. I tried to ask him questions but every time I opened my mouth to speak nothing came out, it was as if I was put on mute. I woke up feeling really confused and just put it down to being over-tired. It’s still pretty early so I decide to go for a run, I haven’t let Piper out since I got here, and she has been a bit restless lately. Octavia’s POV This morning has been absolute hell, I should have just let Troy stay over and I wouldn’t have been up early for a run.
