LOGINMIAThroughout the class, I hadn't been listening to anything. Mainly because I wanted to go home as quickly as possible but also because it was so boring. Xavier was sitting by my side for the first time in a very long time. I'd snuck him into my class this time around because he wanted to know what on earth was going on with Esme and I. I'd told him we had an argument and hadn't spoken since then and he took it upon himself to be the super hero. We didn't need saving but I'd let him do what he wanted. He leaned in to me halfway through the lecture. “How do you guys survive this? I want to gouge my eyes out and sleep.” I suppressed a laugh. “Pretty bloody no? I told you this whole thing was a terrible idea but you don't listen so enjoy your lecture. You could use it though, you guys should be learning something about it too so you'll be ahead of your class.”He looked at the board and smiled. “You think that an Economics Major would learn something from a Business Administrati
MIAI went with Xavier later that week so we could go see Xerxes together. He was about to be discharged and I didn't want to miss seeing him at the hospital. Plus, I needed to search for my damn bag. That was what worried me the most. I didn't tell Xavier that there was a high chance that someone else could be in danger if they got hold of the stone. It would just make him worry. As I walked into the room, there were a group of men around his bed and I could tell that they were obviously from the house. They turned to look at the both of us, before standing up from their seats. Xerxes looked over to the door and saw us, giving me a smile before turning back to his men. “Go home for now and do what we have discussed. I'll be home soon so you don't have to worry about the other things.”They bowed and left the room, their heavy footsteps disappearing around the corner. That was when I noticed that Kaan was in the room but he was standing in the corner like he wasn't a part of this.
MIA“Esme, I can't concentrate. I can't even pretend like I understand what I'm reading. This whole thing is too hard. How did you understand it?”She laughed and looked over at me, dropping the plate of grapes on the bed. “It was really hard because the calculations alone proved really are but asides that, it should be really easy for you to handle.”Well, it was the calculations I didn't understand. Any other thing would be a breeze. Finally, I came out of my took before Xavier or my father went to extreme lengths to wake me up. They joy on their faces couldn't be faked and I wished that I'd come out earlier but it was needed that I took some time off for myself. According to what I hear, Xerxes is doing very fine and he will soon be released to go home. He's responding very well to treatment and they're trying to get him cleared. As if my life hadn't been hard enough, Esme came visiting when I woke up to tell me that Mid-Terms were soon. “How soon?” “Next week soon.”Next wee
MIANaturally, it was a good thing to be alive, to be able to wake up from whatever slumber you shd succumbed to. But when you were someone like me that had passed out multiple time after hitting her and body on several tough surfaces, it began to seem like a curse to actually wake up from unvoncuousness. Why couldn't I jjst rest? It's not like j would get some time off to live a happy life. Somethong or someone always had to come up and make my life a living hell and I'd end duo wishing that if just died in my unckncuous state. What a waste. I remained still in bed, letting my eyes do all the movement and my ears figure out my surrounding. More than ever, I wmated to be alone and not have peioke crowd over me Luke they had been doing for the past few days. I handt been concious but I could feel the suffocation of not being alone at any minute. The fact that I didn't like people that much probably made things worse. Just being alone right now gave me time to clear my head. My hea
XAVIERThe brushing on her face had reduced and so had the scratches on her body. She looked gentle in her sleep that had lasted three days. The doctor said she had internal bleeding and she would have bled out if we hadn't done something quick. The good news was that she was out of the woods now and she would be fine very soon. Gosh, how I could really do with some good news. Another good news was that my uncle was doing much better and he would soon be out of the hospital. Kaan said he was up and running again but the doctors didn't think they were making any sense so they wanted to keep him around to monitor him. Of course that would be weird for them but they'd deal with it.Mia had given him a chance to live again. A chance that evil modern medicine hadn't. I'd like to see Williams' face now that she has succeeded.I had so much joy that everything had worked out. She truly had the last laugh. “She's still asleep, huh?” I stopped thinking and turned around to see her dad, r
THIRD PERSON POVMia was still on the ground. The force was enough to knock any normal person out and give them a concussion for days but not Mia Winston. Pain rippled through Mia's body, and for a couple of moments, she remained still, trying to think of her next plan. Elara was right beside her, calling out her name, thinking that she had been wiped out but no matter how bad she felt, Outside, all of them gathered, including William who was still foaming at the mouth. He sat on the chair, his elbows resting on his knees, while he looked at his siblings with spite. Kaan, Andrea and Xavier all waited at the door, their ears close to the door, trying to get a picture of what was going on outside. The entire floor was closed off to outsiders except nurses and doctors so they didn't have to worry about outside noise. When they all heard the crash, they stepped back and Xavier's hand immediately went to the door handle, trying to burst into the room and save her. Kaan was there to s
XAVIER“Have you lost your damn mind? Are you mad, Xavier?!”How the hell was he here? It has been days since I left the house, almost a week in fact. He had been calling me but I was ignoring all his calls because I didn't know what to say to him. He had crossed the line and he had breached all
MIA“I used to draw that logo back when I was a witch. It's been so many years and I don't know who must have taken that logo and used it.”Since she was the one who drew it, it shouldn't be too hard to locate the person. “You know that not a lot of witches are still alive right? So it means that
MIAThe day after that, I went back. But the shop was closed this time around. As soon as I rang the doorbell, she opened the door, pulling me in with her. “Did you speak to anyone here?* The question came out of nowhere so it took me a while to answer. “No, I don't think so.”She sighed in re
XAVIERThe last sibling finally spoke. He walked up to me with his hands in his pockets. He was tall, way taller than me and his jet black hair fell in his face, covering his eyes. I could smell strong tobacco even though I could see a nicotine patch on his neck “My name's Kaan. I'm the last. I
