My father summoned me not long after I dropped Mia off at her dorm. It wasn't a request and I had no way to get out of it.

He was the last person I wanted to see after my interaction with Mia. How I'd almost lost control. She was getting suspicious and I wasn’t sure what I would do if she kept pushing.

I can’t tell her what I truly am. Right?

I was becoming less and less certain that was the right answer with every passing day.

My father’s voice reverberated in my head.
