Suspicious Call

"Hermione?" conversation was started by Blake, and now she appears to be communicating with him in some way, but I am unable to decipher what she is saying.

I don't believe that they are near one another either.

"Wow. . ." His buddies were all murmuring to each other; they were pleased with her, proud of her, and laughing while looking at her; she smiled more as she noticed their reactions.

"Well. I am confident that you guys are so down to me. . . But I know that was only meant to be a joke," Hermione says.

"Not quite a joke for. . . me," Jake cut her off, and it appeared that he intended to say something different, but Blake looked at him with such a deathly glance that he decided to change what he was going to say instead.

Hermione is seen laughing. "That's pretty great if you ask me. I only desired to converse with my cherished identical twin sister," she spoke in a low voice. I had this horrible feeling that something terrible was going to happen to me, and then she grasped my hand, and I took a deep breath.

"Hermione. What are you doing at the moment? You never informed me that you were going, and now I must—"

"Silence, your blabbermouth!" she squeaked, she made sure that they weren't able to hear it, but she demonstrated how she abused me by the way that she held my hand violently and the looks on her face that she created.

"Blake. . ." she mumbled as she looked at him. "I take it that you do not require her assistance. Is that the case?" she added. I can't stand it when she asks him questions like that, and I was caught off guard when he smiled and indicated that he agreed with what she said.

I tried to free myself from her hold, but all she did was give me that look as if to warn me.

"That's up to you," Blake addresses her; his voice is low and smooth as he speaks. I had no idea they were even possibly good friends with one another.

She smirked and grabbed me outside with her.

We walk outside, and as we do so, she shoves me against the wall, causing me to groan because of the pain in my back that this action has produced.

"Hermione. You hurt me!" I let out a squeal before jumping to my feet and wiping my elbow while she laughed.

"I don't comprehend you; because of how feeble you are, you came so close to having everything. Someone with your characteristics has earned the right to be respected." she fumed; I swallowed hard and was at a loss for words.

It seems as though she fills her head with a lot of words.

I asked her curiously, "Is this your goal?"

Her response was, "Of course, it is correct."

"You're the future, Luna, Hermione. You successfully obtained what you sought. However, I could not secure the desired number of shares for that family. Please, leave me—"

"You expected me to keep my mouth shut while watching you enjoy yourself in the optimistic belief that Blake will find you attractive? Never." she cut me off in the middle of my sentence and emphasized the words ‘Blake will never like me.’ while laughing.

I let out a sigh. "Hermione, you don't even know him," I did so in a collected manner.

She appears to be smiling. "That is a valid point for you to make. Even though neither he nor I are familiar with one another, he seems to have no problem conversing with me, and do you know what I mean by that?" she spoke mumblingly.

The ache is right here in the center of my chest. It indicates that Blake values his friendship with her more than his relationship with me and would rather have her as a friend.

"That is not the case at all. Put those words in your mouth again—"

"No way! Haha. Artemis, out of all the ladies that are willing to share Blake's bed, there is only one woman that Blake would ever love, and it's not you. . ." she made fun of me, and her voice irritated me—because I am so angry, I tried to smack her face, but she grabbed my hand and rolled her eyes.

"Do you mind if I ask how you and Blake's relationship is now functioning in front of other people? And everything is going to be ruined, and they are going to mistreat you once more—"

"Stop!" I placed my order and could already feel the tears welling up in my eyes, but I was determined to stop them from falling. She laughed, bit her lower lip, and then released her grip on my hand.

"Okay. . ." she muttered. "I just wanted to remind you that whatever you do, Blake will never like you; imagine it, a woman he loves might get around you," she added.

I'm sure Blake had sexual encounters with other women, but I don't believe he ever truly loved any of them. I thought he disliked being in a committed relationship with a woman. I can fix him, and I could do it.

Instead of talking to Hermione, I would avoid talking to her.

"You have no idea who he is," I said.

"Good!" she exclaimed, cutting off my comments as she heard footfall approaching, and it turned out to be three of Blake's pals.

"Hi, boys!" she greeted them as if nothing had happened in the last few moments, and I wiped my tears away and did the same thing I saw her do.

They are grinning at her while maintaining eye contact.

"It's great to see you here, Hermione," They greeted her, which made her laugh.

"I am here for one more thing," she says.

They looked at me for a moment before returning their attention to her. They then winked at her, which caused her to laugh.

I was somewhat aback to learn that they are, in fact, good friends. They walked away as if they were aware that something was going on, and she stared at me again while holding my hand, and I didn't move when she released her grip.

"I want you to back off from making an excessive amount of effort to improve your connection with Blake. Or else you are aware of the consequences that will follow." she gave me a warning. I know her jealousy stems from the possibility that I will become more powerful than she is.

Even though I was not going to follow her stupid orders, I did nod my head in agreement with what she said.

"Good little twin," she muttered before walking away, leaving me in a state of emotional breakdown.

———

Hermione is already well known to Blake's parents, who have the impression that she is a powerful and capable woman—and because of this, people can't help but compare me to the woman in question.

I can sense that my inner wolf is trying to communicate with me to convince me to flee. I guess—one of the most incredibly dumb and harmful things one could do.

I can see Blake grinning as he walks down the stairs. He is conversing with the Alpha's beta, and I am waiting for him to look at me.

"Where do you intend to go?" I probed him with questions.

He gave the beta the signal to depart; then, he turned his attention back to me after rolling his eyes at me.

He responded by saying, "It is none of your concern."

Even if it is not because of me, the fact that I saw him smile makes up for the fact that he may be a terrible person.

"I have cooked yet another dish—"

"I'm going to the restaurant instead," he cut me off. He has no idea how much time and work I put into preparing the best cuisine I can for him.

"W-What. . . I understand, but—"

"I'm wasting precious minutes here because of the significance of this appointment," he cut me off once again, and at the same time, he picked up his phone from his pocket.

Footsteps were coming out of the doors, and I was startled when he suddenly kissed my lips for a significant amount of time; I kissed him back, of course.

He looks at me. He mumbled, "I need to get going now." I turn to look at that door; I see his father standing there.

He gives the impression that he kissed me on purpose.

I gave him a friendly nod while smiling, but his face was as pokerlike as ever. I am aware that he did not intend for that to happen. He appeared to be infuriated that he had to carry it out. I followed him outside without being aware of it and hid in another car as he stood and opened his phone.

I can tell by the smile on his face that someone has responded to him.

"Meet me at my hotel," He tells the second line.
