Bryan We carried her artifacts down to the basement, and I was utterly surprised by what I saw when we got to the bottom of the stairs. The basement was incredibly organized, with all of her decorations separated into sectioned shelves that lined the wall. I couldn't help but to notice that she had a whole wall of shelves that were full of totes labeled as Christmas decorations, which was way more than any of the other decorations she had. She lead the way through the large basement until we came to what appeared to be a brick wall that housed the electrical box. I couldn't help the smirk that came to my face as she opened it up to reveal a biometric panel. She scanned her hand first, then, once it was accepted, she stepped over to stand infront of it as a red light started flashing. I watched as the panel scanned her retina, before a robotic voice welcomed her to the space. Then a loud hissing sound occurred, followed by a scraping sound as a section of the brick wall opened up an
****TRIGGER*WARNING**** ***RAPE***Josie I started classes on Monday, though I really only needed to attend two classes throughout the week, and a series of seminars throughout the semester. I was happy to finally have a reason to leave the house throughout the day without my Alpha Prince chaperone. I had been avoiding him since his wolf came forward in the basement on Saturday, it was honestly just too much for me. I had been doing okay with getting used to him being around for the most part considering my past experience with werewolves, but seeing his wolf take control of his body just completely freaked me out, so I'd been drinking more than usual. He knocked on my bedroom door both Saturday and Sunday, trying to get me to come down and eat something, but I couldn't bring myself to be in the same room with him. Truthfully I was just too conflicted and needed some time to work through my feelings. His wolf had told me that he would never hurt me, but I had already been hurt by
BryanI spent the week with my sister enjoying her company and getting to know my niece. She was quite adorable as far as pups go, and made me want my own even more than I already did. I had hoped to have several of my own, but it seemed fate had other plans for me. My sister, her husband and Ricky enjoyed spending the week teasing me about the fact that I was on my third soul bond, though all of us knew that if this didn't work out, there was a good chance that I'd turn feral and never come back from it. My parents had already told my sister Bryanne all about my new bride so she had tons of questions for me during our stay. It didn't help that Ricky was laughing as he told her how mean my new wife was to me, so ofcourse, my sister had her concerns. I reassured her though, making sure she knew that Josie was slowly softening up towards me, and that I was sure that her attitude was the result of her grief over losing her husband not even a year ago. She seemed to understand that I was
Josie The weeks flew by as I settled into my new routine of classes and sorority duties. Turns out, having Bryan come home early while Maddie was still here actually made me more comfortable with having him in my home. Luckily my best friend isn't shy, and asked him tons of questions over dinner. Apparently he had lost the love of his life as well, which I'm assuming was his fated mate, though he called her his first wife. He told her how he married too soon after he had lost her, and because he was still grieving her, his second marriage didn't work out. When Maddie asked him how the two of us had met, he told her a half truth, stating that our parents had hooked the two of us up, That took her by surprise, seeing as how I had told her I was an orphan raised by my brother, but in my defense, that was all I had known until recently. I told her that I had learned that my parents were still alive in the spring, so I sought my mother out and had begun building a relationship with her,
Bryan Something about the way the Vampire Prince spoke so casually of her husband's death infuriated me. I knew on the anniversary of his death she was hurting deeply, I had seen as much all day as I watched on while she drank herself into a stupor. At one point I even sat on the floor in the hallway outside her bedroom door worried sick that she was going to fall and hurt herself. When I finally heard her heart rate even out I went into her bedroom and put her in bed, since she had fallen asleep laying on the floor of the walk-in closet, cuddled up in his clothes. My heart ached for her. I knew her pain all too well and I hated that she had to experience it. Then that vampire showed up here, just walked in like he's been invited in before. Then he started making jokes about her husband's death and trying to convince her to drink with him as if she ever needed a drinking buddy. I did my best to hold Andu back, but he was even more furious than I was. Still though, I knew she had her
Josie After I saw the paintings that the Alpha Promce had painted of me I knew that he was in love with me. It seemed no matter how hard I tried to push him away, he had still fallen in love. It made me smile, but it also hurt. I didn't want to imagine loving anyone but Christopher but still, I found myself daydreaming of the life that the two of us could have together quite often. I never brought up the fact that I knew he had bathed me and me put me back to bed, or how shamelessly my inhibitionless drunken self had begged him to cuddle with me, but he had refused. He was hell bent on protecting me, even if it was from myself. I admired that about him. He absolutely refused to give up on me where as everyone else I had ever known had. There was a winter chill in the air as Thanksgiving was quickly approaching. He had just picked me up from my last class of the week, and as we rode along I couldn't help but to admire the beauty of the bare trees as winter was quickly approaching. I
Josie I had been so excited for Olivia's arrival that I had spent the entire morning cleaning up around the house and preparing the guest room next to Bryan's for her. I had even made him take me to the store to stock all of her favorite American snacks. Since we had spent most of Saturday binge watching season 2 of The Magicians it had only left me a few hours to prepare for her arrival. I knew she would be bringing me a case of her family vineyard's finest wines so I even had 3 wine glasses out and ready. I couldn't wait to see the Alpha Prince's reaction to her, as she was quite odd if you didn't understand what her gift was. No doubt she'd start talking to Chris as soon as she got out of her rental, and would walk into the house having a conversation with him. I was even more excited to talk to my husband again, I had missed the sound of his voice since he'd been gone. When the Alpha Prince heard her pulling down the drive way he told me that she was here, and I felt the air in
Bryan POV I had just turned the burner down to a low simmer when I felt the spell seal around the house. I stood up straight to wait for the two of them to come back to the kitchen for dinner, so they could explain exactly how the spell worked when I heard that giggle I thought I'd never hear again. I turned around so quickly I nearly lost my footing but there she was, my beautiful Sammie. "Sammie," I whispered softly as I stared at her, enchanted by her beauty even in death. She was wearing one of her favorite outfits, faded, torn blue jeans with an off the shoulder black t-shirt. Even in her simplicity she had always been perfection. Her long, dark, walnut colored locks were pulled into a bun, and her gorgeous big brown eyes squinted as she smiled her signature big gorgeous grin at me. If she were alive, her eyes would be sparkling, but the lack of sparkle told me that she was, infact, still dead. "The spell worked then, ofcourse it did. Right? I'm sure they don't call her Qu
