Bringing out the freshly baked muffins from the oven. A large smile was plastered on her lips as she removed the gloves on her hands.

Melanie placed three muffins on a plate and then poured some orange juice into the glass cup

Walking into the living room she settled on a chair. She let out a loud sigh roaming her eyes all over

Michelle is yet to come from the hospital. She's been with Eros since he fell unconscious

She never wanted to let him out but. He's a busy man

He also got work to do. The urge to see him right now is badly eating Laine up. She turned on the TV and sighed again

She bite her lower lips badly wanting to feel his soft touch.

To think,the once cold hearted mafia leader said he loved her

She blushed heavily recalling how he said she's been cherished by him

*You're one of my top priority* she remembered

"Am acting silly "Lanie hid her face in her palms 

"Tomorrow seems so far. Lewis come back already. Am missing you like crazy!" she blurted out loud. Just then Lewis pushed the door of the living room open

"Corazón" he called stepping further in

"L..l.. Lewis !?"she shriked not knowing when she leaped into his arms

"Missed me this much?" he smiled brightly enjoying the embrace

She coiled her arms around his neck and he reciprocated the act by holding tightly to her waist

"M...maybe "she stuttered releasing the embrace. His arms were still encircled on her waist when he leaned closer and bestowed a kiss on her cheeks

"You didn't miss me?" he asked with a coyly smile

"I..I dunno. Maybe I did miss you. Maybe I didn't. But what are you even doing here? You said you were coming back tomorrow? Or did tomorrow arrive early ?"she said standing on her toes. 

Since he's taller than her ,it's kinda mandatory she stretches to kiss him

"Well, the meeting got....."

She pushed the last door open and pulled Lewis in

Laine walked to the light switch and switched it on

"Tada !!"she beamed brightly leaving Lewis In complete shock

"Since Fiona destroyed it. I thought,I should fix it" she said again with a bright smile

They're presently in the room which Lewis had kept his family pictures and portraits that Fiona destroyed

"You did all this. B.. but how !?"he said completely surprised

He banned anyone from coming into the room again. Thus, leaving the portraits in ruins

But now. It's all fixed up

The room got cleaned up and the portraits. Almost all were back to there original form

"Well...."she drawled

"While I was a child I loved painting. Never wanted to tell you about it cos it's kinda like my hidden talent. So I was kinda bored and well....I thought of this. I got the spare keys and thankfully this morning you showed me your mum's picture. Having an impressive memory,I headed out to work ." She explained batting her lashes her like a doll

'M.. Melanie ??!"he said gobsmacked

He never even thought of getting it fixed. And to think he nearly dismlated her skin

"Corazón" he took three steps to her and soon engulfed her in his arms

"Am so sorry "he said tightening the hug

"Huh?, bout what?' she cheeked resting her head on his shoulder

"For accusing you wrongly. For making you pass through so much pain. For the ordering of you being flogged. Am sorry_"

"Gosh Lewis!" she raised her head and looked into his eyes

"Enough of the apologies. It's okay. Seriously" she smiled largely

'Y... you're just so perfect. Tell me are you a witch or an angel ?"he rubbed her cheeks fondly growing more emotional

"Both "she responded heartily

"Am glad I found you Laine. Am glad I found you "he muttered pulling her back into the hug. Lewis made sure to inhale the sweet scent of her hair while stroking it

'I have to confess to her' He thought releasing her from the hug

"Lewis am kinda hungry. Mind if we go out?" she pouted . He kissed her nose before smiling

'Sure. Let's go to a restaurant since_"

"You can't cook" she cut him off and chuckled

"Yeah whatever,let's just go" he rolled his beautiful set of eyeball

With hands entwined,they both headed down the stairs
