Obstacles In Love

The tears fell gradually from her eyes leaving a very painful sting in Antonio heart. He had to ball his fist in other to prevent himself from rushing to her_ and pull her into a deep hug

"Why are you even back Antonio!?" Lewis yelled this time

"L..Lewis ?"Lavina called with wide eyes. He just addressed him by his first name!

"What is Lavina? You seriously expecting me to call this man my dad!! Where was he!?" Lewis cried. Trying not to break down

Images of that night suddenly flooded his head. His eyes got teary and slowly,tears ran down his cheeks

His fist got balled real tighten and his anger raising the more

"Where was he when mum died!? When she got shot repeatedly!?! Where was our so called father when you got stabbed!?!!,when I got everything taken away from me!?? He is our dad right?! But where was he!? He never cared,he never loved us! Cause if he did,he would have protected us! He would have protected his wife our mum!" Lewis lips quivered with emotions

His breath turned unsteady and heavy. Melanie quietly held his arm tightly. Their eyes met and he calmed down a bit

"He is not my father" Lewis spoke in a horase voice. Antonio said nothing,just kept staring back

He can't defend himself. He's been nothing more or less than a horrible father

He fled for a cause. He tried to run away from his problem but instead

The problem escalated. Lavina sniffed again with fresh tears coming down her eyes

"I'll be damn to call you a father. Cause you aren't. You don't deserve that title.. motherfuvker "Lewis muttered angrily before rushing up stairs leaving Lavina, Melanie and Antonio

"Why did you leave dad?..w..w were happy..w... weren't poor! We had everything we could ever ask for. Why did you leave? Why didn't you protect us? W. .why!!!!?" Lavina screamed loudly..

"Ina.... "Melanie called slowly taking strides to her direction

"It's enough. Please don't cry" Melanie said sweetly trying to fake a smile

She's as confused as fûck. But the only thing she can make outta all this is

Antonio is their father. But what happened to him in the past??

Come to think of it. Lewis hardly says anything bout his father

Well....she's gotten half an answer to her question

Walking steadily to the door,he held his doorknob

"For what happened all this year. My sudden disappearance and the ....death of your mum "Melanie could notice a lotta emotions in his voice

She stared at him; a part of her screaming he's also in pain

The smell of grief erupting from he couldn't be over look. His face shown saddness, and anguish

"Am sorry Ina. You'll known very soon" He opened the door

Lavina lifted her teary face to look at him

"I love you both. Tell Lewis I really do love him" Antonio smiled sadly before stepping out

Melanie stared at the door shortly before facing Lavina

"Crying won't solve anything Ina" Lanie spoke gently. She knelt on the floor with Lavina head placed on her thighs 

"I...I know "she soon begun hicupping 

"It's okay Ina. Everything will be okay "Melanie repeated

Eventually, Lavina fell asleep right on her thighs. Melanie sighed before standing up on her feet

She tried to carry Lavina but damn

The girl weighs a ton! With much effort, Melanie laid Lavina on the couch. She inhaled hard at then fixed her gaze on the staircase

"Lewis "she muttered ascending the stairs. Within minutes she arrived at their room door

Pushing the door open,the smell of cigarette lingered in the air as she stepped

Banging the door shut, Melanie had to switch on the light. Her eyes landed on Lewis seated near the window with a buring cigarette at the end of his lip

Just seeings him shirtless and sad made her heart ache so badly. Melanie walked slowly to his direction

Quietly,she sat next to him. The curtains got pulled up giving them a much clearer view of stars

Feeling her soft palms on his , Lewis turned to look at her with teary eyes. 

She faced him before flashing him a heartwarming smile

"Can you smile back at me please?" Melanie said..they both stared at each other quietly

"Your smile means so much to me. So please smile for me. Seeing you like this is kîlling me" she smiled accompanied by tears. Lewis parted his lips not knowing what to say

He turned his gaze before putting out the buring cigarette on the ashtray

"Am sorry" he said. His voice laced with saddness

"Am sorry for smoking again..I...it helps calm my nerves when am... down" he added sliently

Melanie scooted closer. She rested her head on his shoulder as she raised their interwined fingers

"When I was a kid" Melanie said sweetly

"My dad would get me so mad. Then I'd swear I'll never eat with him again she smiled "

The memories flooded in her head

"But when evening came. I'll be the same person to rush to him, give him a hug and then a peck. After that would share an ice cream cone together" Melanie laughed lightly and Lewis stayed mute just listening to her

"That's the thing bout parents. We might be wrong,we might be judgemental but they'll always love us. They think bout us every single damn day,pray for us. Is more concerned bout our health than theirs. Sometimes,they may do things that even we don't understand but... it's for our good and safety. That's the thing bout being a parent. When we become very soon "trailing his fingers,he caressed her protruding tummy

Slience stepped in, Lewis kept caressing her tummy and soon bestowed a long kiss on it

"Do you think,he had a reason?" Lewis whispered staring at her

"I strongly believe so" she held both of his hand cupping it in hers

"When he left I nearly died. W..we just woke up one morning to find dad missing.. Lavina almost died but... Mum,just kept smiling whenever we asked her bout dad's whereabout. S...she was calm during his absence. But our feelings..I felt my bestie leaving me that day Dad was my best friend,my comforter,he was my everything. But he left suddenly,he left" Lewis said gazing into Lanie's eyes

She smiled back and touched his face..

"But he's back now "she smiled a little

"B...b...back? where did he go to?,what happened during those years?, what happened to him ?"

"He's the only one that can answer all your questions. B.. but he told me to tell you that. He loves you" Melanie leaned closer and kissed him

She disengaged a little and they both stared at each other

"He loves you Lewis..very much !"

"My leg hurts" Tikka mumbled dragging her leg with a bullet in it. The rush of anderline flowing through her during the fight never made her notice she got shut

After the fight ended,most members of the cartel went back with the loot. Since Melanie came into Lewis life

He hardly has time for the cartel leaving all the work for Tikka

Eros isn't even helping one bit. He has his own issues to take care

She groaned again pulling her key outta the car. Blood kept gushing endlessly outta her leg as she stepped down

"I can't see "Tikka muttered as everywhere soon turned blurry

"Tikka "Miguel called alarmed from inside his apartment. From his upstairs window he could seen Tikka

"She's not okay !"he panicked rushing to the closet..he brought out a first-aid kit before dashing down the stairs

"Tikka" he gasped as she collapsed on the floor

Miguel rushed to her and then scooped her in his arm 

"What happened to her again?" he muttered placing her on his bed

Within half an hour Miguel has already treated her leg after taking the bullet out. 

He sat at the edge of the bed while staring at her beautiful face. Her glasses rested on her pointed nose giving her a chic look

The crop top she wore made her pointy tîts pop out.

"Cold yet sexy" he rolled his eyes standing up. He brought out an oversized t-shirt from his closet

"She can't sleep in that" he thought. 

He bite his lower lips before walking to the bed. He heaved a long sigh before peeling her clothes off her body before removing her glasses

Her body was unlike most girl.

 She's pretty muscular. Scooping her again in his arms,he walked to the bathroom. There he faced another problem

He had to close his eyes while scrubbing her body with the soft sponge. Miguel tried his absolute best not to touch her chest too much

His a playboy not a pervert. After bathing her,he took her to the room before sliding the t-shirt on her.

 Miguel yawned tiredly before looking at Tikka

She slept soundly still looking beautiful.

He leaned closer and then pecked her.

"Good night amor" he smiled Miguel left the room and went to sleep at the guest room

Next Morning**

The bright ray of sunshine that penetrated through the window woke Tikka up. She groaned lightly while seating up

"Where am I?" Tikka mumbled noticing she's not in her room

Her eyes travelled to her waist and a cranked expression crept up her face

"The hell am half nàked !"she blurted noticing there's no unmentionables on her

Just then Miguel pushed the door open with a bright smile on his face. 

"Good morning Tik_"

"How dare you !?"Tikka rasped shocking Miguel like crazy

"Huh, Tikka_"

"You ràped me! How could you!? Stooping so low as to have sèx with me while I was unconscious!!" She screamed loudly

The shock he felt got replaced with unexplainable anger

"Really now I ràped you!?? You're a bløôdly virgin right!?!!, aren't you supposed to be feeling any pains!!!" he yelled back in sheer anger

"I fûcking found you laying unconscious on the floor last night..took you in,bath you. And treated your damn wounds Tikka!! I had to close my eyes while dressing you Tikka.. wasn't expecting a thank you but for hell sake!? Calling me a rapîst,is that what you take me for!?!!?!!!"He barked furiously

She suddenly went mute

"M... Miguel_"

"Look when you're done fûcking leave and piss off! Leave my house and fûcking stay outta my life Tikka!!!!" he yelled once more before storming out. 

"W..what have I done ?"Tikka wept burying her face in her hand weeping heavily
