SHREYA 'S POV :

"Shreya, baby, wake up!"

"Mumma, just 5 minutes more." I requested my mom for the last time. Let me tell you something: I am not a morning person.

"You've been saying it for an hour. No more sleeping, just waking up. Tomorrow is Saturday, baby, and you are free to sleep as much as you want."

"Maa, please." I asked for her again.

"You're going to be late for work, baby. It's already 9 a.m., and you have to be at the office by 10 a.m. How will you deal with it?"

"Oh maa, please na, I'll make it"

"Why don't you pay attention to what I'm saying? Get up! "I didn't respond to her.

"Ok, then sleep, I won't bother you again, and don't come to me saying that Mumma. Please hurry up, I'm running late, Mumma, where is my bag or my shirt? Do whatever you want."

TodayOffo , I irritated my mother yet again today. Let's stand up, Shreya, before Mumma comes with a broom to beat you, or do you want a flying pan to land directly on your head?

Okay! I'm only kidding; she never beats me. And I consider myself fortunate to have such parents.

I rose from my bed and gazed at my Goddess Saraswati. So my mother and Goddess Saraswati are the first people I look at in the morning. Because I believe I am only here because of their blessings.

Then I went to check my reflection in the mirror.

"How some girls wake up looking fresh, and when I look at myself, I look like a ghost."

Oh my God, why am I thinking about all of this when I'm running late? It's already 9:10 p.m.

Shreya, hurry up!

I dashed to the restroom to freshen up.

I wrap my elbow-length hair in a high ponytail while wearing a simple top and jeans. Following that, I applied sunscreen, a light lipstick, and sprayed some perfume; this is all of my makeup. I don't like having my face caked in makeup, and my skin is extremely sensitive to anything. I wore my watch; I've had a thing for wristwatches since I was a kid and I never take them off. Finally, I put on my comfortable shoes, tucked my phone into my bag, and dashed to the office.

"All right, Mumma...... bye.... I'm off to the office."

"What about breakfast?" she inquired.

"Mumma That is not something I have time for."

"So, why did you get up so early?" she asked, mockingly.

"Please, Mumma, don't taunt me like that."

"Then why don't you understand, baby? You're 25 years old now, stop acting like a child; soon we'll get you married; how will you manage your family and work? It's not that simple, baby. I will not be available to you."

Okay! Now I know where I got the ability to speak long dialogues in a single breath.

"Mumma, you've restarted your melodrama. I've already told you that I'm not planning on marrying so soon. Look at me, I'm only 25 years old, and no one believes me due to my height. And I will not marry before the age of 28 at any cost. So, please, put an end to your melodrama right now."

"This is not melodrama; this is reality, and you must understand it."

"Okay, I see what you're saying. I'm running late for work and don't want to be fired. And, by the way, where is my hero?" My eyes began to look for him.

"He's on his way; just finish your breakfast."

"All right, just give me milk."

"Milk? Only milk". She inquired.

"Please na Mumma,"

"Okay, do whatever you want now that you're independent, and who am I to say anything to you?"

"Oh God, not again, please," I exclaimed as I saw Papa approaching, and I ran up to him and hugged him.

"Is my princess ready for the office?" daddy inquired (my hero).

"I am, daddy," I say.

"And look at Mumma, she isn't letting me go."

"Yes, because you haven't finished your breakfast yet. You know how easily you get sick, na baby. Mumma and I both care about you. So, eat your breakfast like a good girl "..

He still thinks of me as his little princess.

I scowled. They won't let me go just like that, so I grabbed an apple, kissed my mother, and hugged papa before sprinting towards the door because I can't afford to be even one minute late now.

"Be careful," they both said at the same time.

I am extremely fortunate to have parents like them.
