“Oh man, Veronica, you okay?” Helen was taken aback, yet couldn’t help but chuckle a bit.

Seeing this. Thiago rushed over, bent down to pull Veronica up from the ground, but she wouldn’t budge. “Thiago, I’m hurt all over, hold me.” Veronica was crying out loud, her knees numb from the fall.

Kira stood with her arms crossed, coldly watching this spectacle.

Veronica, the kind of woman who would play the damsel in distress whenever Thiago was around.

“Thiago, Ms. Amelia pushed me!”

Veronica hid herself in the man’s arms, shooting daggers at Kira with her eyes.

“Veronica, what did you just say?” Thiago was taken aback.

“You sure I pushed you?” Kira scoffed, watching her perform.

“You think I just tripped myself?” Veronica voice, usually soft and gentle, was raised in indignation.

“Well, it’s not impossible. You look like you’re on your last legs, maybe you were blown over by the wind.”

“You’re cursing me to die soon?!” Veronica's face turned red with anger, “I clearly felt you push me when I was walking by. Are you denying it?!”

“Ms. Veronica, this is a society of laws, cameras are everywhere, you can’t just talk nonsense.”

Kira's eyes darkened, her presence intimidating, “If I find evidence, I can sue you for defamation.”

Thiago's pupils dilated, feeling as if Amelia had completely changed.

She was no longer the meek wife who lived alone in an empty house.

Veronica was clearly being oppressed by Kira's powerful presence, she quickly turned to Helen for help.

“Oh dear, it’s just a misunderstanding!”

Helen sneakily glanced at the camera above, “Veronica must’ve tripped and accidentally bumped into Amelia. So you thought she pushed you, it’s all a misunderstanding!”

“Veronica, did you really just trip?” Thiago looked at the woman in his arms, his tone slightly cold.

“I thought she pushed me…”

The man’s expression froze.

Veronica panicked, “If she hadn’t stepped aside, I wouldn’t have fallen! She did it on purpose! My bracelet is broken too, it was a family heirloom! If it wasn’t for her, it wouldn’t have broken!

"Ms. Amelia, I know you’re not happy about your divorce with Thiago, but you shouldn’t take it out on me. Is it my fault you two broke up?”

With that, Veronica started crying again.

What a woman, always ready to cry.

“Firstly, I’m not upset, on the contrary, I should thank you for helping me escape from misery, not having to wait up late at night for someone.” Kira proudly retorted.

Wait up late at night? Thiago's face stiffened.

“And secondly, if this bracelet is really a family heirloom, you should be thanking me.”

Kira walked over, picked up half of the bracelet, “This is fake.”

“What?!” Veronica was shocked, even Helen was taken aback.

“This bracelet is made of fake crystals, wearing it for a long time is actually harmful to your body, the toxic substances can seep into your skin and affect your blood system.”

Kira tossed the broken bracelet into the trash, her diamond bracelet, a gift from Thiago's grandfather, seemed to mock Veronica.

“Mr. Thiago, since Ms. Veronica is going to be with you, you should at least buy her some decent jewelry.”

“Amelia.” Thiago frowned, showing his displeasure.

“I still have a crystal frog on my dressing table at his place, if you don’t mind, you can take it and make a bracelet.” Kira brushed off her hands, as if touching the bracelet would dirty them.

Frog… frog?!

Amelia was clearly poking fun at her!

Veronica was furious, but Kira was already far away.

Outside the hospital.

Kira couldn’t help but laugh as she thought about Veronica's shocked expression.

“Amelia.”

Hearing Thiago's deep voice, she turned to look at him.

A breeze blew by, lifting her hair, adding a touch of beauty to her.

Thiago approached her.

“Anything else. Mr. Thiago?”

Kira was cold, “If Ms. Veronica is still upset about her bracelet, tell her that I will buy a bunch for her at the market tomorrow.”

“Earlier in the ward, you and grandpa said…”

“Oh, that. Don’t overthink it, I just didn’t want to upset your grandpa.” Speaking of Mr. James, her eyes softened.

“Then we’re even.”

Kira was confused.

“You faked your identity, fooled me. We’ll call it even. I won’t tell grandpa, or anyone in the Anderson family.” Thaddeus looked serious.

Kira's eyes widened, was this for real?

“But you have to tell me, why did you marry me under a false identity? No, I should ask.”

Thiago closed in on her, “What were you after when you approached grandpa with a fake identity?”

Kira's heart raced, she backed away.

But she forgot about the steps behind her, lost her footing, and was about to fall backward!

But the next second, she felt someone steady her.

Their eyes met, Kira blushed, Thiago looked a bit nervous.

Even now, she found Thiago very attractive.

Thirteen years ago, Kira was only eleven, in the terrifying darkness, she would never forget those bright eyes.

Thiago had saved her life, without him, Kira might not be alive today.

The Thiago now, truly made her feel pain, his presence was like a near-death experience.

With a push, he helped Kira stand upright.

“Thanks.”

“Answer the question I just asked.” Thiago persisted.

“I’m not your wife anymore, I have the right not to tell you.”

Kira scoffed, turned around, “Since you said we owe each other nothing, why are you still pestering me? Even if I used a fake identity, I didn’t do anything to harm you in these three years, did I?”

Suddenly, Thiago grabbed her arm tightly, his eyebrows furrowed, “We haven’t processed our papers yet, technically, you’re still my wife. So you’re obliged to let me know your identity!”

“I have nothing to tell you!”

Kira was breathing heavily, her eyes welling up, “Mr. Thiago, you talk about obligations, isn’t it too ridiculous? You haven’t fulfilled your duties as a husband for these three years, how dare you demand me fulfill the duties of a wife?!”

“Amelia, even if you don’t tell me, I’ll find out!” Thiago suddenly pulled her into his arms, the two of them close enough to feel each other’s breath.

He’s not one to easily lose his temper, but this woman had been pushing his buttons ever since she left him.

She sure has guts!

“Well, you go ahead and find out, why are you asking me?”

Kira forcefully broke free of his grasp and left without looking back.

Thiago watched her cold and elegant figure retreat, thinking of her fiery red lips and those sharp black high heels, feeling a tightness in his chest.

Why has she become like this?

Is it to cater to Ethan's preferences?

This sly woman! Why does his grandpa like her?

“Mr. Thiago, Ms. Veronica said she twisted her ankle, she’s crying and wants you to go check on her.” Mateo panted as he caught up. Suddenly, the roar of a sports car engine filled the air.

“Ah! It’s, it’s Mrs. Anderson!”

Thiago was stunned to see his ex-wife driving a sports car, wearing large sunglasses that covered half her face, and zooming past him with a swagger!

She was driving a top-of-the-line, limited edition Bugatti La Volture Noire.

“Mrs. Anderson… turns out she’s a secret rich woman!” Mateo's eyes nearly popped out of his head.

Thiago's gaze darkened even more, his hand slowly clenching into a fist.

“Chase after her!”

In the study, both Helen and Jasmine were present. Elijah would naturally not let James over. In his eyes, James was on Thiago's side. At this point, the father and son were almost entirely at odds. It seemed that ever since Cynthia, Thiago's biological mother, committed suicide, they were left with a relationship in name only. The chasm between them, now aggravated by Kira, was exactly what Helen wanted to see. Only when they were at loggerheads, each on their own side, could she take advantage of the chaos and profit from the Anderson Group! Even if Elijah was the father of this illegitimate child, what did it matter? “I called you over to inform you of something.” Elijah, with a cold face, sat on the sofa and casually threw a freshly printed appointment letter in front of Thiago, “I have decided to officially hire Cedric as the legal advisor of the Anderson Group, also as the head of the legal department. This appointment will be issued first thing tomorrow morning. I have

Whenever Kira showed up, it was as if a tornado had swept through the Anderson family, leaving nothing but chaos and discord in its wake. Kira didn’t have the time or the inclination to explain herself to James, believing that the truth would eventually come to light. Besides, she had already had a taste of Cedric’s character from William and Elizabeth. If he could pull strings to get Jasmine out of a sticky situation, it meant he had taken care of any potential threats, Even if she knew that he had framed Kevin, the police had already closed the case and it was not likely to be reopened. Cedric’s smile could be as charming as a gentleman, but his actions were as treacherous as a snake in the grass. James, on the other hand, had no intention of making things difficult for her, After all, he trusted her. He had seen her genuine, golden heart. And if he couldn’t trust Amelia, who else could he trust in this world? Kira personally wheeled James back to his room, with Thiago followi

Kira could feel the heat radiating from Thiago's palm, wave after wave washing over her skin. She thought, “Crazy man! What’s gotten into you again? Take off your dirty hand!” As if sensing her attempt to break free, the man’s fingers nearly crushed her shoulder, gripping her with a force that felt like they were fused together. The sight of the former husband and wife being so intimate startled everyone! Only James, their grandfather, sported a surprised yet relieved grin. His previously suppressed mood instantly blossomed, his mouth agape with joy. He thought, “Oh my! Have Amelia and Thiago gotten back together? But Amelia doesn’t seem to be too pleased, does she?” Well, whether it’s relentless pursuit or forced courtship, his grandson’s thick skull finally seems to have a crack of understanding! Any progress in their relationship was worth celebrating with fireworks! Kira, having had enough, took advantage of the distraction. She slowly lifted her foot and stomped down hard.

A powerful retort from Kira made Cedric feel as though his mask of pretense was ripped off, exposing the shameful title of an ungrateful man hovering over his head Kira thought, “Wishing to distance yourself from the Hamilton, are you? Alright. But I will make sure to stir the pot. Your secrets hidden in the dark, I’ll drag them out into the light!” Cedric’s lips tightened, his face still adorned with a smile, but his gaze on Kira held no trace of mirth. Instead, it held an icy chill. Was this the woman Jason was head over heels in love with? Pampered, arrogant, sharp–tongued! To bring such a troublesome woman into the Dempsey household would only cause chaos. Peaceful days would be a thing of the past! The atmosphere became tense and awkward. Elijah thought Kira was nothing short of a disaster. Every time she appeared, a storm was sure to follow! Cedric’s abilities as a lawyer were undisputed, and Elijah had always wanted him on his side. But he didn’t know about this connect

Thiago delivered his statement with a thunderous voice, then strode off, leaving the room with his head held high. Cedric remained motionless where he stood, his body flushed with a cold sting of embarrassment. Born into a prominent family of lawyers, he was always held in high regard by his parents and adored by his younger siblings. He was well respected among the legal fraternity of Hemsworth.Even the wealthiest tycoons would make concessions just to have him handle their cases. When had he ever experienced such humiliation? Wait a minute. Cedric scowled, turning to look at Thiago's retreating figure. What was the nature of his relationship with Kira? And why was Thiago, a man known for his reserved nature, so enraged on her behalf? He knew Kira, the Hamilton family’s precious gem. She was a woman of celestial beauty, set high above the common folk. She had the world at her fingertips, yet she barely paid any mind to the average man. There was only one possibility. Thiago,

Cedric had Elijah pull strings to suppress the news, but it still reached Thiago at the first instance. “Why was Jasmine released? Didn’t you keep an eye on Caroline? Did you let Cedric get close to her?” Thiago's stern face was as cold as frost, and he punched the car window in frustration. “Mr. Thiago, Caroline wasn’t the problem. It was Kevin!” Mateo was so angry his eyes turned green, “Our informant relayed that Cedric, under the guise of a proxy lawyer and with Elijah's aid, visited Kevin at the detention center in secret. Whatever he said scared Kevin into taking the blame for everything, thus Jasmine was naturally cleared of suspicion!” “What else could he have done but exploit his weakness, threatening the safety of his family! A top–tier lawyer even resorted to such despicable means!” Thiago's hazel eyes were shrouded in a deep, ominous gloom, like a stormy sea before a tsunami and his fists shook with suppressed rage. “The honorable reputation of Justice is utterly ruine
