Marietta’s POV

Just as we were about to enter the lodge, I suddenly took a pause.

Looking behind me, I saw someone whose face I couldn’t forget and whose name lingered in my mind.

“Elsie?” I whispered.

As much as I couldn’t remember whatever it was we shared. I definitely remember that at one point in time, I’ve met him before.

When?

Where?

How?

These are the questions I couldn’t answer. But with Clara and Bella here, I knew I couldn’t walk up to him.

“Guys,” I called, smiling sheepishly.

“I think I forgot something with Michael. I would like to go get it back.”

“Clara can do that,” Bella interrupted.

At first, I looked behind me to be sure he was still standing before adding. “What if he was naked?”

“Oh my God.” Bella gasped before reaching for the door knob.

“Just go and get it yourself.” She answered.

Making her way inside, I expected Clara to also leave with her. Gesturing with my eyes for her to leave, she insisted on staying.
