Chapter 17:

Alpha Selene,

I miserably failed at getting information out of Sebastian and now I was caught red-handed by goddess knows who, nearly doing the forbidden deed with one of my unclaimed mates... I swallowed nervously before I spoke.

"Who is there?"

"My lady, the elders are here and request your immediate presence," Hana's voice projected from the other side of the door, breaking the spell of our stolen connection.

"Darn it," I hastily uncrossed my legs from behind Sebastian, firmly planting my feet on the ground, and swiftly readjusted my dress. "I must be on my way," I declared, despite feeling a lingering desire to stay in his presence a little longer.

"Alright, go ahead. I wouldn't want to cause any inconvenience for you," he replied, cautiously picking up his shirt and effortlessly donning it, exuding confidence resembling that of a seasoned supermodel... I momentarily gawked at his sight.
