With a 30-minute head start, I will definitely beat Sebastian at this challenge. My feet thudded loudly against the ground as I made my way to the inhabited island the elders spoke of.

The treacherous night of the lunar eclipse was fast approaching and I needed to get to this remote island before my brother.

Given a 30-minute head start, I was certain that I was going to win this challenge as well…

My heart was racing and when I came to a sudden stop, I stood at the base of the perilous mountain, I realized that I must have taken a shortcut and that fate had chosen me for a solitary trial within the Trial of the Midnight Tides. With a mix of anticipation and uncertainty coursing through my veins, I prepared myself mentally for the challenging climb that lay ahead.

With a deep breath in and out, I took my first step upwards. With each step upwards I pictured Selene's beautiful green eyes, her beautiful smile.

Suddenly the air grew colder and more biting, the path narrowing
