A few months later after everything went back to its normal routine… or so I thought...

"No, no, no…" Selene murmured while shaking her head from side to side on her pillow, I woke up and sat next to her wondering what nightmare was threatening to consume her sleep this time around.

"Babe," I made an effort to reach out to her but she opened her eyes like the undertaker and slapped my hand out of the way, my heart skipped a beat as I was caught off guard by it.

"Ahh, Damon!" She began screaming frantically as she jerked up from the bed with beads of sweat formed on her forehead while panting. I got hold of her before she could harm herself.

"Selene, babe" I yelled at her while holding on to her, she flickered her teary eyes, stopped screaming, and looked at me with trembling lips.

"Damon?" She called my name breathlessly as if she did not recognize me.

"Yes babe, it's me," I moved closer to her and clasped her head before resting it on my chest.
